The Ritz-Carlton, Montreal garners high marks for its sumptuous rooms, which guests find spacious, clean, and well-appointed, albeit some consider them to be on the expensive side. Its luxurious amenities, including a state-of-the-art gym and heated pool, are popular among guests. While most experiences with the attentive staff are positive, a few visitors have noted brunch service could improve.
The hotel's prime location is frequently commended, offering easy access to Montreal's key attractions, though opinions on value vary, with some guests pointing out unexpected charges. Overall, the hotel's pristine cleanliness and the harmonious blend of historic charm with modern sophistication contribute to its inviting atmosphere.

We booked the hotel as soon as we got it’s reopening date. Hotel was closed for awhile due to Covid-19.
We had personally been contacted by one of their concierges/ managers to make sure what we need were taken care of before arrival. Very impressive.
Hotel was nicely located at DT Montreal and very convenient to everything and it keeps the 18th century deco with nice and elegant touches to it.
The door man was welcoming and brought our bags to check in. The front desk agent Victor was excellent and efficient. Very informative and helpful.
We have the corner suite on top floor. Due to the recent reopening, hotel wasn’t full and hardly heard any noise on the floor.
Room were deeply cleaned and all the glasses and remote controls were sanitized and rapped. The housekeeping follows a restrict sanitation procedures to make sure a stay safe.
Due to COVID -19 , the gym was closed but the swimming pool was open.
Hotel also offers in room service instead of breakfast buffet in the morning.
Every staff in the hotel was great and attentive.
We understood it’s a rough time and we appreciated what the hotel did to keep everyone safe while staying with them.
We will definitely stay there again.

We are here on a 1 night stay. We have a 2 Queen room.
They had a kids robe, rubber duck and stuffed animal on the bed for my son which was a great touch, he really enjoyed it.
As other reviews indicated, cool toilet! Room is good size and well laid out. Heated floors, towels and toilet is nice.
They had a delicious cake delivered for my dad’s birthday which again was a very nice touch. (I’m here with son and dad for a couple hockey games).
Pool area is really nice. Pool itself is small but both times we went it was pretty much empty. They have pool noodles and life jackets.
No breakfast for ambassador members and breakfast buffet is expensive (42 for both adult and young kids) but there are several other breakfast options within a couple minute walks.
Overall very pleased with our stay

My family and I just got back from our stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Montreal. We live in Montreal, and have stayed at the hotel before. Usually when we’re here, it’s for a regular lunch that my wife and I schedule each month.
Turns out we were the hotel’s first guests back upon its reopening yesterday, and we were greeted by a lineup of their awesome staff outside the hotel, who were applauding as we got out of Uber. We really felt like celebrities the entire time we were here (which I have to say, is pretty standard when you’re staying at the Ritz)! Service was just incredible, from start to finish, and we felt so fortunate to be back. The safety measures were very impressive, and every precaution had been taken without having a negative impact on our overall experience.
The hotel had arranged a great bottle of Cava, which was waiting chilled in an ice bucket upon our arrival to our room. There were some really sweet surprises for our daughter as well. The saltwater pool’s awesome and its terrasse was also open with lawn chairs to take in the sun. Maison Boulud and the Dom Perignon Bar were both great, and our daughter loved the garden area. Cocktails at the Ritz are excellent, props to Danny, who’s probably one of the best bar men in the city.
I can’t emphasize enough how special this hotel is. My favourite thing about the Ritz-Carlton, Montreal, even considering how beautiful everything is and how great the food and drinks are, is the service. No matter who you are, you are treated like you are their best customer. It’s always an honour to be there. They really know how to make their guests feel special. I guess an acclaimed hotel that’s been around for as long as the Ritz has probably got it down to a science at this point lol. But it really never goes unnoticed, and it shouldn’t. We’ve stayed at great hotels all around the world, and this one still stands out. This was a staycation, and even though we live just 15 minutes away, I will definitely be returning to stay here again in the future.
Thank you so much to everyone at the Ritz-Carlton, Montreal, we are still ecstatic from the whole experience. The entire staff was so nice, we’d like to thank Veronica for organizing our stay, as well as Katia for her generosity. Congrats to you all on a beautiful reopening.

This hotel is a yearly splurge for us to celebrate out anniversary (yes, we bring our kids ages 8 & 11). The staff are so helpful, friendly, and make us feel so welcomed and pampered. It is worth every penny just to feel so taken care of without even the slightest hint of inconvenience on the part of the staff. The room is pure luxury and our kids love the pool and for us it is a nice area to relax in.

Our trip was awesome because the service was on another level and grounds are pristine. They thought of everything. The concierge gave us the best recommendations and had very good follow ups as well. the prices are at a premium but they treat you like royalty so in my eyes it was worth every penny.
Multiple turn downs and room tidying, room service was very prompt, and if you needed anything it was at your fingertips.
Also Sherbrooke is close to everything: crescent street has tons of bars and a great dispensary, lots of shops and food. You can easily walk places or get Ubers.

Every detail was managed to perfect execution. It was my birthday and we stayed for four nights in an amazing room.
Every time we stepped off the elevator we were met by the staff with smiles and hello as well as can we help you.
The restaurants at the hotel were amazing with top quality food great staff and most of all tables were spaced with good separation and everyone was checked for vaccine certificates every time they entered a food or drink venue.
The pool area was well kept with a small lap pool and again vaccine certification was checked.
It is a historic hotel that has kept up with the times but still has a warm elegant feel.

What we enjoyed
Great service
Extremely clean
Tasty room service
Sound proof rooms
Nice view
Great location
Beautiful historical building
Windows opens to get fresh air
Comfy robes
Very nice shower and bath
AC is great
Things we found soso
The nightlight was very bright, wakes up everyone if 1 person needs to get up
Beds are on the hard side
Steamer in the bathroom doesn’t really turn off easily and can make the whole room very hot
All the electronics are pretty annoying, they actually make life more complicated not easier. From the toilet to the blinds, electronics everywhere, was a bit annoying and made these small things complicated for nothing really.
These complaints are just preference. Some people might love this. This is why we left a 5 star review. The 5 star review is based on the quality of the service, hotel, amenities, not emotional preferences.

We traveled to Montreal for an anniversary weekend and could not be happier with our stay at the Ritz. The arrival team contacted us a day before to make sure everything we needed was available upon arrival down to our choice or pillows.
The Ritz Carlton chain in many ways has lost its sense of uniqueness and place. This is not your typical Ritz Carlton as its retains so much of its historic charm, think hardwood floors, fireplaces in the room, beautiful decor rather than the sameness a lot of Marriott owned property have. In fact there is nothing to indicate you are in a chain hotel which we love!
We were upgraded to a one bedroom corner suite and the room was spacious with a large living room with fireplace and a wonderful deep couch to relax after a day out. The bedroom was huge with a separate walk-in closet and a beautiful bathroom featuring heated floors, the ever popular Toto Neorest toilet with heated seat, walk in rain shower and deep soaking tub. All of this with great technology like remote control shades.
Breakfast each morning was delicious as we really enjoyed the Omelette Soufflée and the Sweet and Salty ‘Pudding’ as they were tasty, well prepared and generous in portions. The bar in the Palm Court and Maison Boulud were a great place to start or end your evening out with terrific service and a great selection of spirits.
Thanks to the team at the Ritz as we had a wonderful time and experience!

Three most memorable things about the Ritz:
1. Heated toilet seats! What a wonderful surprise. The toilet was high end and opened and closed automatically, had a built in bidet and a heated toilet seat.
2. Slippers for men and women that were a perfect fit for my husband and I.
3. Wonderful surprise to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Thank you for making it so memorable.
We were in the Signature King which was very spacious and clean.
Location was perfect and within walking distance to Old Montreal and St. Catherine's. Bed was extremely comfortable.
We had an issue with the electricity not working in a couple of outlets and within minutes, someone came up and fixed it. Great service.
Robes and bath towels were also nice and fluffy. Loved the blackout curtains too.
Breakfast was delicious and it was nice to sit outside and look out at the nicely landscaped gardens. The lounge had delicious drinks and great service.
Two minor items that could improve:
1. They have a small glass jar of water by the reception with fruit in it. You need a larger jar or less fruit since it did not taste very well.
2. The doormen never opened the doors for anyone they just stood there.. . very odd.
Excellent stay and looking forward to going back there!

This hotel sunk quite a bit into the attention to small details, making sure our luggage was moved and hung while we had a cocktail in their wonderful bar. No request seemed to large. Cafe Boulud was wonderful for dinner(pricey but great). I wish I was able to spend more time here. I was worried about the location with respect to the Old Town for touring but you can Uber there in a few minutes, and retreat here from the crowds afterwards. If you can afford it, I recommend.

Good day,
Thank you for your question.
I am pleased to let you know that we still use silverplate ustensiles and wares.
May I ask you what made you think we replaced it with stainless steel?
Let me know if I can be of any further help,
Have the best day,
Relatively flat and not cobblestone
I'm not entirely sure, but if you email or call and ask, I'm sure they will be helpful...great customer service at this hotel ...good luck!
