Clean. Beautiful. Great location. Great price. What more can you ask? This was my first time in Montreal. Very memorable thanks to Auberge du Vieux-Port. I will return! If this is also your first time, I highly recommend this hotel in the heart of Old Montreal.
Beautiful hotel. Loved our room. Wonderful staff. Great location with a nice view of the river. Comfortable bed. Easy access to all areas. Peaceful. Nice restaurants. The Living Room is quaint. Overall excellent experience. Michele was was excellent!!
Beautiful atmospheric hotel which I chose because of the original features which it has in spades. Staff were wonderful and the hotel offered a beautiful lounge (reception) area and two lovely restaurants. As a solo traveller, my only bugbear was that when using the restaurant, I was offered a poorly placed table. Hotels and restaurants do this ALL the time and I really wish they wouldn’t do this as is difficult enough eating solo. Apart from that, couldn’t fault anything!
We were greeted welcomed and assisted by the staff… we loved the ambiance warmth and history of the hotel… there were two restaurants on location and we dined at Gaspar…the food was delicious, and we very much enjoyed our oysters, cod and beef cheek meal! So glad we chose this location for walking about old port, touring local museums and churches, and we rode the enclosed Ferris wheel to view the surrounding area!! When we checked out, it felt like we were saying goodbye to family!! This hotel is fabulous, from slippers/robes, macaroons, coffee maker…it was so cozy!!! We would definitely recommend staying here and would be very eager to return!!!!
We planned this trip as our first "real" vacation in 8 years, to coincide in our 20th anniversary. From booking to check out, our stay at Auberge du Vieux-Port was top notch. Excellent location, friendly, yet unobtrusive staff, always going the extra mile to make sure our 5 night stay was perfect. Even the valet parking was great - any time we needed our car to do some "on our own" exploring, the car was out front before we even got comfortable in the cozy lobby (in front of the wonderful fireplace). Extra cheers to the housekeeping staff, who clean those hardwood floors each day, especially during the winter and "mud" seasons. Not an easy job, but they make it look so great! The bed was so comfortable - I sank into deep sleep each night after hours of sightseeing (and maybe a couple glasses of good wine at dinner!). Also, the shower was terrific. The multiple shower heads were a nice touch. We truly loved making Auberge du Vieux-Port our "home away from home" during our first (and definitely not last) trip to stunning Montreal. We can't wait to get back soon!…
Such a great stay right on the waterfront in Old Montreal. The room was beautiful, with exposed bricks and old original wood floors and beams. There was a warm fire in the hearth and French music playing in the lobby when we returned from a long day of touring. I think what really made our stay special was how helpful and friendly the staff were. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. We look forward to returning next time we are in Montreal!
We loved our stay! The service was incredible and Etienne in particular was super friendly and helpful in sharing his knowledge of the city. The hotel is well situated, and our room was comfortable had a wonderful view of the river. All in all the experience reminded me of the many intangible benefits of choosing a hotel over an air-bnb. Will return on our next visit. Thanks Etienne!
This hotel was everything. The staff were friendly and super accommodating. The room was large and comfortable. We got engaged while there and they sent us up a complimentary bottle of champagne 🍾. The hotel is in a perfect location. All the restaurants and cafes were amazing. There are two restaurants within the hotel and a terrace in the summer. There is so much to do. Hands down my favorite vacation spot. Live in upstate NY so it’s only about a 5 hr drive. Already booking a summer trip!
We went away for my birthday weekend. Blece at the front desk had a beautiful birthday surprise waiting! (champagne on ice, macaroons and a lovely card). He and the hotel staff were very warm and accommodating. We enjoyed wonderful food and service at Gaspar Restsurant. The lobby fire and old world charm were magnetic. The location was walking distance to all the restaurants, bars, shops and galleries. Very pleased with our experience!!!
Warm hospitality and attention to details made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. The elegant charm of the building and the delicious food at the restaurants were also delightful. We will definitely be back.
