#4 of 176 hotels in Montreal
2021 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best
A symbol of Old Montreal's rich history, Auberge du Vieux-Port is the area's only hotel settled along the Saint Lawrence River. The two structures that house its 45 rooms are over a century and a half old and once operated as warehouses, back when the waterway still forged city's life vein. With a classic, skillfully crafted make up, the idyllic inn's decor and architecture breathe an air of authenticity. Embrace time-honoured scenery, complemented by our team's warm, personable services. CITQ 127245

Great location in the heart of Old Montreal, and exceptional service during our stay. The room was gorgeous and the bed was wonderful. The staff went above and beyond to make our Honeymoon special and we are so glad we selected this as our hotel. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars, as well as attractions.

The staff at Auberge du Vieux Port were outstanding! They made our stay so comfortable and memorable, especially Magaline. Our room was perfect though a tad noisy, however we expected that with a promenade facing room. Really enjoyed an early evening drink/charcuterie on the Terrace, great food and beautiful views. Again the staff made our experience that much better. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel, service was amazing and you can’t beat the location. Many thanks!

Just got back from staying here during a weekend trip with my husband. I'll start with the good. Location is great, staff is friendly and overall it's a pretty hotel. However, our rooms were tiny and not nearly as elegant and beautifully appointed as the photos they advertised. I had a great view of...a brick wall. Before my arrival, they sent me an email saying I would get a complimentary bottle of wine, which I never got. Check-in was chaotic and confusing - the signs for valet parking are tiny and massively unclear. Turns out you just leave your car outside with the blinkers on in the middle of traffic while you check in. This is very confusing for someone who hasn't been there before. They should really have an attendant there to explain this. None of this is such a big deal, but when you pay 300 USD plus a night, you expect something nicer. There are much better options in the neighborhood. I recommend looking elsewhere

My husband and I stayed 4 nights. The room had many ammenities and lots of charm like exposed brick walls and great viees to the river. Staff was very helpful with recommendations for tours and restaurants. The food at the bar was top notch. The hotel is walking distance from the places you want to go to. Will gladly come back!
