A symbol of Old Montreal's rich history, Auberge du Vieux-Port is the area's only hotel settled along the Saint Lawrence River. The two structures that house its 45 rooms are over a century and a half old and once operated as warehouses, back when the waterway still forged city's life vein. With a classic, skillfully crafted make up, the idyllic inn's decor and architecture breathe an air of authenticity. I booked with AVP for a three-night stay in Montreal. I Proposed to my now fiancé during our stay and the Hotel was EXCEPTIONAL in their assistance. From the moment we pulled up their welcoming, generous, professionalism was immediately evident. They even set up my room with an order of flowers for the occasion. They checked in with me every step of the way and took so much pressure off what would have been one of the most nerve-wracking moments of my life. From the exposed brick to the open windows with an exceptional view, i couldn't have asked for a more picturesque setting for the night, the price for what we received was an absolute steal. We felt very safe when we were inside the hotel in a time where staying in a place away from home can be worrisome. The staff was very professional in their sanitation and social distancing measures. We would 100% return here and plan to for anniversaries in the future. The Terrace is beautiful and the amenities are exceptional. Espresso on your rooftop window view in your comfy robe every morning? Yes please.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Auberge Du Vieux Port. The location is just about perfect – smack in the heart of true Old Montreal. We stayed in a Signature River View King Room (#403!). The room was charming and beautiful and very spacious - it made our 4 night stay enjoyable to have some extra space in our room. The large beautiful windows opening to the river was simply gorgeous and we were able to enjoy a delicious room service breakfast while admiring the view. The bedding and linens were all amazing and fresh & the use of the robes and slippers was a nice treat too. The hotel staff were incredible and accommodating at all times. Special mention to Michael from the Front Desk and Tom the Valet for being so helpful and friendly. We enjoyed seeing you both throughout the days of our stay. We had dinner and breakfast at Tavern Gaspar too and both meals were delicious. The view from the Terrace Rooftop bar was pretty special too. The only downside if we had to name one, was that if the restaurant staff or Terrace staff knew you were from the hotel, they were great, but if they didn’t know you were staying at the hotel, we found service was slower, and left a little wanting. The hotel staff found out it was my birthday during our stay and left me a card and some treats too – which was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. All-in-all, If you stay here, you will not be disappointed. We’re already planning a return trip at Christmastime.

Visited Montreal for the weekend and so glad that we chose this place to stay. The front desk manager Magalie was so polite kind, and professional, and that was a great first impression that helped us decide with the booking as well. She gave us an upgrade to the apartment. Although it was on the fourth floor and there are no elevators, it didn’t really matter to us. The apartment was beautiful with a mezzanine level bedroom and also a separate bedroom on the main level. It was fully furnished, and there was nothing it lacked. The place is walking distance from the port and most of the other attractions. We had an unexpected delay with getting our vehicle from valet parking on the second day, and as a courtesy gesture the valet parking fee for our stay was credited. Overall had a very nice stay. Would certainly love to come back again, and grateful for Magalie’s courteous and helpful attitude. The five stars are well deserved!

we ended up in the old port of Montreal, busy time of the year ,and on a saturday night when people are starting to enjoy going out(in Covid time). We did not have a reservation, our group was five , so not the easiest t accommodate but Dominic made it happened. After sitting at our table ,he started to pour his magic finesse with people around and us. a memorable night,go and enjoy!

I have stayed in this hotel 4 times in the past 4 times visiting Montreal during the last several years. Its location is perfect for those who want to stay in Old Montreal. It is one of the few properties by the river. Having lunch/breakfast in their restaurant which has a nice view of the street along the river was very relaxing and pleasant. A lot of attraction can be reached by foot and is also not too far of a walk to the subway station. I love the decor of this hotel - trendy yet maintaining an unique old world charm with its exposed stone wall in the center of the old city. I love the beautiful large double casement windows of the rooms. I always stayed at the Signature King Room. It is spacious, comfortable and unique with a particular charm of its own. I particularly like the ones with the stone wall decor and the hotel staff was kind enough to assign me to one like that every time upon my request. The facility is clean, well-equipped and well-positioned. There are bathrobes, slippers, ironing board equipped in the rooms. The only drawback about the room is that it has pedestal sink with no countertop space although there is a shelving unit. It is not very convenient. I would expect a hotel at this category usually has bathrooms for the larger rooms with decent countertop space, especially when the bathrooms are spacious. The staff at the front desk are very responsive and attentive to the customers' needs. There is a nice rooftop terrace café where you can enjoy the view of Montreal. There is also valet parking available for a reasonable price. However, I must say that the price of the rooms have increased quite a bit almost annually during the summer period making it more difficult to afford staying there. I always look forward to staying at this hotel when I visit Montreal.
