I stayed here with my parents (pre-CoVID) for a night before driving to Quebec City to embark on a cruise. This charming hotel was exactly as the website and reviews described and perfect for first-time Montreal visitors like ourselves. Quaint and well-appointed rooms; great central location, within walking distance of excellent restaurants and sights. Wonderful staff who were polite, friendly, and responsive to requests -- their hospitality is what made the difference between a pleasant stay and an absolutely wonderful stay. I wish we'd had time to stay for more than one night, but I can't wait to come back. It was perfect and exactly what we needed.
Under Covid, stays are a bit different, like the maid service only comes every third day, unless you ask for daily service, just as they mentioned. We had to ask for a few more items but they always came right away. Continental breakfast was no longer served in the building, but we went down the street to a partner hotel for an excellent choice breakfast, included in our reservations. The front desk was always very friendly with warm greetings and asking how you are, each time we returned. A nice coffee and tea bar had made to order hot beverages, by the front desk A nice touch. Car parking was valet but very timely. One night we looked for a last minute dinner reservation but the restaurant was booked. Front desk called the restaurant manager and we got in for 7pm. Excellent service. We loved the old world feel of the brick outer walls to our room, matched with modern decor. The bathroom was newly renovated with a very modern shower. We would gladly stay again. Great value and awesome service. …
My husband and I stayed here for two nights. The hotel was extremely accommodating to us - we were upgraded to the extra large room as it was my husbands birthday. They provided complementary cupcakes as well. The sanitization in the hotel was very good. Masks must be worn in the common areas. The actual room was gorgeous! The shower was beyond my expectations. Over all it was an amazing and relaxing stay!! Highly recommended
An other-worldly, pretend like it's my condo kinda life where I would rather stay in than go out. Blackout blinds for good sleep, then wake up looking up at a sunroof where the rain pitter-pattered. Large layout to sprawl belongings and arrange furniture to my liking. The only environment where Santal 33 actually smells good. I still wear it and it takes me back to Le Petit. Umm, just know that if you have a large suitcase, you won't be able to leave your room at the end of your stay (oh well, Keep me stuck in a room I love), as you have to open the front door while somehow balancing your bag on a stair with one hand. You won't have this problem if your have smaller cases. It's the way the bottom of the staircase (if you have a room with stairs) is designed, and the way the heavy door opens inward. Note: the service was not "terrible". This web-site froze and did not allow me to change my ranking, so I can't mark any other choice but "terrible", so ignore that section in my review.…
My friend and I traveled to Montreal to take in concert for our 40th birthdays. I loved the hotel and service! It was a perfect location in old Montreal. Amazing bed and shower! Breakfast and cappachino were wonderful! Can't wait to return!
