Absolutely loved my stay at Le Petit Hotel! The location is great and a quick walk to the old port area (as well as many restaurants and cafes). There is also a convenient little cafe (Le Petit Dep) across the street that stocks many fresh made items, little gifts and snacks, and things you might need on a trip. There are also several bus routes and big metro stops near by. The entrance to the hotel is pretty unassuming and you walk in to a narrow lobby with friendly and helpful staff. Check in is at 4pm so be prepared to entertain yourself if you arrive early. We were able to check into our room about about 3:40pm and promptly settled in. The room is spacious with a large comfortable bed. We had a comfy arm chair, a large desk, mini fridge, many drinking glasses, desk chair and there is a large closet up front. The bathroom is a little small but totally manageable. The ceiling in our room (on the 3rd floor) was also a little low which was just a bit strange, but again totally manageable. The bed was absolutely delightful! So comfortable with really soft bedding. The thermostat also did a great job and since we like to sleep cold we also snagged a few extra blankets. The black out curtains are also great at doing their job. The hotel also provides a continental breakfast (which we slept through every day), but certainly a nice amenity and you can access their coffee/tea menu all day for free. Overall a great experience and would certainly stay here again. …
This is a boutique (28 rooms) hotel near the heart of Old Montreal, in a historic building The public space is attractive with much character, but not grand; there are no amenities such as fitness center or spa on premises. What makes this hotel special are the rooms. Our room was among the nicest of any hotel we’ve visited anywhere in the world. A 19th century feel, spacious, and well decorated and furnished. The bed was very comfy and the bed linens top notch. The shower has multiple nozzles and great pressure. The walls are brick and stone; both beautiful and completely shielded us from adjoining rooms. I really liked being in a more personal small hotel rather than a larger more institutional venue; the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room faced the street and this was the only negative — the area was swamped with tourists and visitors who partied late into the night and the noise of people talking and carousing and the noise from vehicles and motorcycles was very audible until after 2:00 a.m. So, if you are a light sleeper, during the high season I suggest insisting on a room facing the back alley. A nice continental breakfast was included in the room rate, but didn’t make up for the lousy night of sleep.…
The good: The staff were kind. The hotel room was outstanding. The location was perfect for our first time in Montreal. The bad: I asked where a laundry facility was located and the very nice people suggested that the hotel can get it done. I was handed an empty bag without any paperwork. The laundry was completed (for the cost of a washing machine). I asked upon receipt and was advised that the costs were on the inventory sheet that I supposedly filled out. I told them that I never had any paperwork beforehand. Would have been nice to have been given the paperwork (as later suggested by employee) up front on the paperwork that I was never given but ultimately on me for not asking.
Had an amazing stay at Le Petit. Service was top notch and the complementary espresso drinks were a tremendous perk and consistently delicious. Perfect location in Old Montreal near the port which is very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.
I came here on a Vacation with my son this month and it has been nothing short of incredible. The hotel is a beautiful classical old French style hotel. It is in the center of Old Montreal and you are walking distance from everything. The customer service has also been incredible. A young man by the name Etienne helped us tremendously during are stay. He went above and beyond his duties, acting as our concierge; helping us book our entire vacation out of the goodness of his heart with no obligation to do so. 5 stars!
The old stone walls of the building lent a great contrast to the modern but comfortable room and reception area. Walking distance to metro and all of old town. My friend and I were always greeted ! Breakfast was perfect. Coffee service fantastic!
Well, I say old -fashioned but they have exposed brick and stone which gives them some real charm. Otherwise, the rooms are beautifully done and bathrooms very modern. We asked for a quiet room and they were only too happy to accommodate us. They serve a lovely breakfast downstairs and tea/coffee service all day long. All the staff, especially the female members- Larenza (sp?) couldn't have done more to make our stay an incredibly good one. I recommend this hotel to any traveler seeking a personalized and warm experience. We loved it!
We were absolutely delighted with our choice of hotel for our short stay in Montreal. It was amazingly close to the cruise terminal so that we didn’t need to wait in the extremely long queue for a taxi and took a short walk. On arrival we were greeted with a great Latte and helpful info on getting to the tourist centre for information. A comfy room, an amazing shower, close to the restaurants and bars of the old port. A continental breakfast provided and then help to get us to the train station on time when most of the city was closed due to the last day of a city bike ride. Our taxi didn’t arrive, the Uber we cancelled and to our delight Clay offered to help us with our luggage to get us to the station 🚉 - so VERY much appreciated! If you can stay here - do not hesitate!!! ❤️😎🇦🇺🇨🇦…
This small boutique hotel was just what was needed for our short stay in Montreal. Very Nice , looks like the inside of the building was completely redone. believe me the charm and the stone are still present Our room was a one with a King Size bed , the room was large . Our window view from the third floor was that of an alley . There are lots of them in this part of town alleys. The front staff were very accommodating. They offer you coffee drinks , you just have to ask. We made great use of this feature, There is a nice little area near the entrance to enjoy them. The room , the bed was fine , the HVAC in our room was little load . The shower worked well . and was very modern. The breakfast in the morning was very nice, the breads were very good. granola, cheese, hard boiled eggs and pastry's. If you want to stay in the heart of old Montreal, this hotel can't be any better situated for that. …
Beautiful hotel, great staff and walking distance to lots of great shops and restaurants. Continental breakfast was good and the free espresso drinks throughout the day was really nice. We arrived and had a bottle of Prosecco on ice waiting for us for our anniversary.
