An other-worldly, pretend like it's my condo kinda life where I would rather stay in than go out. Blackout blinds for good sleep, then wake up looking up at a sunroof where the rain pitter-pattered. Large layout to sprawl belongings and arrange furniture to my liking. The only environment where Santal 33 actually smells good. I still wear it and it takes me back to Le Petit. Umm, just know that if you have a large suitcase, you won't be able to leave your room at the end of your stay (oh well, Keep me stuck in a room I love), as you have to open the front door while somehow balancing your bag on a stair with one hand. You won't have this problem if your have smaller cases. It's the way the bottom of the staircase (if you have a room with stairs) is designed, and the way the heavy door opens inward. Note: the service was not "terrible". This web-site froze and did not allow me to change my ranking, so I can't mark any other choice but "terrible", so ignore that section in my review.

My friend and I traveled to Montreal to take in concert for our 40th birthdays. I loved the hotel and service! It was a perfect location in old Montreal. Amazing bed and shower! Breakfast and cappachino were wonderful! Can't wait to return!

I was in town for a short, two-day visit, and the hotel was everything I needed, and more. Good size room. Very friendly staff, and excellent coffee made to order. Good location as well. Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed a couple of nights here, very late check in. Wonderful gentleman on the reception helped me with case AND brought me tea at 1am. Booked the standard room. Huge king bed, incredibly comfortable. A nice little continental breakfast included in the rate. Staff are very helpful. Location right off the waterfront in old Montreal, close to subway and buses (buy a 24 hour ticket for $10 - one trip is $3.50, so great value). Lots of bars and restaurants and expensive little shops in the old buildings around the hotel. I’d stay here again. Lovely little place.

The hotel is located in Old Montreal, which is a great part of the city to stay in. There are lots of restaurants, shops, museums and sights to see. The area is also very walkable. The rooms themselves are very clean, modern, well-kept and the bed was pretty comfortable. Being from NYC, I found the hotel rooms to be of good size, but I guess it varies room to room. We had a medium room during out stay. I agree with others, the shower is amazing, very modern and lots of jets. The hotel staff is fantastic, we found them to be very friendly and knowledgeable to the area on things to do and see. The fact that they are also great baristas really was a surprise. We would definitely stay at this hotel again! If you have a car, I would recommend getting the valet package (while pricey), parking in the historic area is tough to find and can be expensive. Avoid the outdoor public lots as they have strange timing (24hr cuts off at 4am) and known to have thefts.
