Stayed three nights at this small hotel (20 rooms) right in the heart of old Montreal. Hotel had a lot of character with exposed brick walls and the rooms were newly remodeled and surprisingly large. Free breakfast and WiFi, Right on rue Saint Paul; a great street of art galleries, retail boutiques and great restaurants. Cathedral of Notre Dame is... More

Perfect hotel! We had such a nice stay at Le Petit Hotel. Everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming, always offering fun suggestions for restaurants and things to do. This hotel is in, what I believe is the best part of Montreal, Old Montreal. So many options for lunch/dinner, very close to Notre Dame, and plenty of shops. Breakfast was small,... More

This is a small hotel with few frills and that's what makes it so nice. The rooms are spacious and very clean. It is in Old Montreal so that walking adds to the pleasure. The small but well stocked breakfast was a good way to start the day. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Would absolutely stay here again.

My wife and I spent a few days at Le Petit Hotel before heading to Toronto for business. This hotel is in a great location. The staff or extremely helpful and friendly. The room we had was spacious and comfortable. The only caution I would offer is that a room overlooking the main street, St. Paul Ouest, can be somewhat... More

This hotel was absolutely perfect for our short stay in Montreal. The staff is one of the best that I have ever encountered at any hotel I've stayed at. They went out of their way to welcome us and give us restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was great, and the location does not get any... More

This is one of those hotels you would go back to a city just to visit. We went with another couple and we were on the Second and Third floors overlooking Rue St. Paul. These were beautiful rooms, lots of space, very comfortable beds and best of all you could open the windows sip on a drink and sit and... More

Good location, great staff, good bed with nice linens. Having the front desk double as a coffee bar is unique and pleasing. No need to track down a Starbucks for your morning coffee because it's right there all day and night. Breakfast was also a plus as it is included in the room rate.

Nice stay. Very attentive staff which is a huge plus! Large room was very nice, medium room was pretty small. Continental breakfast was decent: croissants, chocolate croissants, other breads, mixed fruit, cereal, and yogurt, plus espresso drinks. Only complaint was the white leather chairs in lobby appeared to be filthy. They were no longer white but appeared to be deeply... More

Great front of house staff. Friendly, helpful and make great coffee. Coffee and croissants available all day. Continental breakfast. Spacious stylish rooms. Great showers. Room 208 is great. Overlooks the street with big windows and lovely afternoon sunshine. Noise not a problem but go for rooms facing the alley if you are noise sensitive. Great access to restaurants. Easy access... Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
