My husband and I with a few friends recently spent a night here to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was wonderful! Hotel is beautiful, rooms are luxurious! The staff goes above and beyond to cater to you. This is the second year in a row we’ve stayed for a quick overnight getaway and it really feels like you are on a mini vacation. We also had some cocktails, dinner and breakfast at Bar George which is amazing! Food and service is outstanding. Dimitri really goes above and beyond. We will definitely be returning, it is my favourite hotel in the city!
Stayed for two nights. Absolutely loved the hotel. Staff is amazing and very attentive. Hotel is spotless. The best place to stay in Montreal in my opinion. Everything is perfect!!! When I arrive here they make me feel like home.
We stayed at the Mount Stephen Hotel for my friends 40th birthday. The hotel is absolutely stunning. Check-in was very welcoming and effortless. The room was gorgeous had the most luxurious amenities. We started in the afternoon with some cocktails and snacks on the Terrace at Bar George. Everything was impeccable. Dimitri and all of the staff took care of us and provided exceptional service. Later that evening we had dinner in one of the beautiful private rooms and the food and service were outstanding. After a blissful sleep in their cloud like beds, we completed our stay with a delightful brunch. Best 24 hours with friends ever! Look forward to our next visit!
On April 23rd, a friend and I had booked a girls' staycation at Le Mount Stephen. I'm a big fan of their restaurant, Bar George, so I was excited to spend some time at the hotel. Check in was great and we had a great evening, but unfortunately, at 3:03am, we were woken up by a man unlocking the room with a key card and walking in. We yelled out that someone was in the room; the man sounded surprised and left. We immediately called down to ask why someone had entered our room, and were told not to worry, that it was a security guard checking lights (what??). I replied saying it was terrifying and that we are obviously very worried. We did not sleep the rest of the night. The next morning, the man at the front desk was very nice and was already aware of the situation. He acknowledged how scary that must have been, unlike the staff member we had spoken to at 3am. However, we were now being told that the security guard was in our room to grab towels (again, what??) for another guest. He told us someone from hotel management would be in touch the next day. We had to wait a few more days to hear anything from hotel management, Genevieve, who only called one of us, to offer us a discount on our next stay. A disappointing resolution in my opinion. Safe to say we will definitely not be returning when there are security guards entering rooms for all sorts of reasons in the middle of the night. As two girls staying alone in a five star hotel, you're expected to be safe and feel pampered, but this felt like a complete violation of safety and privacy. If you do choose to visit this hotel, I would definitely recommend latching the deadbolt on!…
Booked a short stay for a weekend getaway at Le Mount Stephen hotel. Great mix of historical cachet with modern luxury. The hotel staff were very accomodating and helped make our stay a memorable one. The spa offered great couple treatments and the room was very contemporary, spacious and was well worth the price of the stay. Located in downtown Montreal it has the advantage of being just off St-Catherines' street which is great for walks and shopping. Can't speak to the quality of the dining or breakfast since it is currently unavailable due to the sanitary restrictions related to COVID. Still would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to come enjoy Montreal!
