Friendly and attentive staff. Check in and check out we’re flawless. We asked for extra towels and they were delivered promptly. Large, clean, newly renovated rooms. Valet service was excellent and retrieved the car quickly. Restaurant staff was friendly. Breakfast and snacks were acceptable. Conveniently located on the edge of Old Montreal.
Stayed with my family of 5 for 2 nights. Staff upon arrival was super helpful, friendly, and inviting. The lobby and building itself was big and gorgeous. Our room was larger than expected, up to date, well kept, and super clean. I also really loved the facial soap provided as well as their soap dispensers in the shower! They have an indoor pool area, it was perfect for the kids and they actually had a cart filled with miscellaneous pool toys, floatation boards and noodles, life jackets, etc of different sizes for the kids and a lifeguard/pool attendant was there all of the times that we used to pool. We found a life jacket for my 3 year old that was just the right size and it was amazing having the option to use it as she really enjoyed learning to swim around all by herself while wearing it! That was a nice touch for sure. They have a regular pool, hot tub, cold pool, sauna, and a shower to rinse off. They also have a nice gym. We had a minor issues with our room but staff was very quick to fix it for us. House keeping came every day, and extra supplies were brought to our room immediately upon asking for it. Check out was smooth as staff was so helpful - they called a cab for us and took out our luggage for us. All in all loved this hotel, would stay again for sure. Location is really good, great for the kids, and the adults loved it too! Excellent value for the cost.…
We had a great weekend sightseeing in Montreal. The Westin was a great hotel. We had a king corner room. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large and the shower had good water pressure. We stored our toiletries on the window sill because there is very little counter space. Everything was great (we were overcharged but I went down and questioned it and after pulling up their website and a little back and forth it was corrected. We were supposed to get a $20 Voucher for a market close by. We got it but the Market was closed so I gave it to the bellhop) The pool area is very dated but the glass bottom pool is cool. You can see people swimming as you pull in to park. The scent they pipe through the air system is heavenly. Overall a great long weekend.…
Once inside the rooms were very nice. Came here as part of a bus trip. Way to LONG to get your room keys. I thought they forgot we were coming because emplyees hanging around everywhere. I think the dinning area was closed. Our room had no coffee maker so we went across the street to a "mall" which had a Tim Hortons. Way to many bums, drug addicts.....panhandleing wanting money. BAD area of Montreal.
Stayed here for 5 nights and loved every minute of it! We were provided with excellent and friendly service in every department, front desk met our needs with moving us to adjoining rooms for our party of 4, house keeping did a spectacular job of cleaning our room each day, valets stored our items carefully when dropped off shopping bags even our bag of bagels was handled with care. The location was excellent, we were in walking distance of all of Old Town and many evenings walked home from our dinners downtown. High recommend this hotel to everyone and will stay there again for future visits.
Pre-cruise visit. Only two blocks from the cruise terminal. Very clean. Yummy beds, I could sleep for a year. Try the restaurant attached to the lobby, The Gazette for a very good breakfast. I will definitely stay here when I return. Highly recommend.
Hotel with extremely poor service. No housekeeping on first day, but I was too tired to complain, thought it’d be a one-off mistake. Coming back to the room after my second day in town, tired from a long work day, found that no housekeeping was done for the second day in row. Now I have no towels to use, tried to get the reception but no sign of response. Stay away from this property.
Was there hosting a work conference. The first few days, the hotel was understaffed and it showed. Guests were waiting 2-3 hours for rooms to be ready. However, after the first day, as more guests started arriving, the hotel seemed to step up their game. They were always understaffed in the housekeeping department, and we didn't always get service, but if we requested anything like towels or shampoos, they apologized (for the most part) and had it sent up. They did their best. As a Westin hotel, you expect a little more. But post-covid, its understandable. Thanks to the management for working with us and helping solve all problems!
Make a 5 nights reservation on June 1st at this Hotel. I had the worst customer service ever From a Marriott hotel. I've been a loyal member for years, reaching this month platinum elite status. Great service from the 2 greats agent from the from desk who wanted to change my room but the supervisor refuse even rooms were avalaible. I check out the same day even I had to pay pay for the night. Had a better service at the doubletree. Worst Worst service
Okay, so it's not all bad. The location in the middle of downtown is awesome, and it's so near the Vieux Port, and all the amenities, around the corner from Notre Dame, the location is worth alot. And thankfully, the Westin does have the Heavenly Beds. But the service was downright awful. Where do I start? There's no one to help your bags to your room, so if you come with a family, be expected to go up and down the floors a few times. Housekeeping -- where do we start here? They said service on Thursday and Saturday. They came Thursday. But on Saturday, they came to 1 of our 2 rooms, and not the other. And then they argue that we were only supposed to get service on 1 day? Huh? Why did you do 1 room, and not the other? You tell them that, and they're defensive. There's nothing we can do. Never mind that we CALLED three times that day to get the room serviced. We ask for towels four times. They arrive 7 hours after we first asked. Thank god, I didn't need a shower immediately. They large bottles were empty when we came in, they brought us two large bottles that didn't work. Finally, they resorted to the small containers, because they couldn't figure out what to do. Ordered coffee in the morning -- 1.5 hours later, call back. What's up with the coffee? You never ordered it ... huh? Trays left in the hallway for 8 hours (i.e. we went out for the day and came back to the trays still sitting in the hallway) Breakfast shows up 1.5 hours after the time agreed upon. The concierge actually doesn't know good restaurants to go in the neighbourhood ... so thankfully Trip Advisor saved us! I know COVID has adversely affected the hotel industry. The front end was good. But the backend of the service right now is disastrous. If you only have 1 night, can be self-sufficient, this may be a great hotel. But if there's any sort of family associated with it, and a longer stay, this hotel really isn't typical for a Westin. Be warned!…
