Lovely hotel lobby and rooms, we loved how helpful all the employees were, they helped us find many great restaurants and places. The pool was very nice and that general area was clean. We weren't big fans of our view, a building side covered in graffiti, but it was hardly noticeable, compared to all of it's great features. I strongly...

The hotel looks to have been modernised as you walk in with a nice lobby and smart bar to the left. When you get to your room you can tell the hotel is getting a bit old. The rooms themselves are pretty big but the bathrooms are a bit small in comparison. The twin room we were in had big...

Dear Chris G Thank you for choosing the Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Centre-ville for your recent visit to our city. Please note that our hotel opened in August 2008, and is only 7 years old. With regards to the bedding type, our property only offers Queen size beds in all our rooms with two beds. We hope to have the...

Everything was great: service, room, sheets, towels... but what was amazing was the attention given by the concierge, as well as the entire team at reception I absolutely recommend this hotel for any stay in Montreal!

We stayed overnight on our way to Quebec City by train. The location is perfect close to St. Catherine street and lots of restaurants. The staff are excellent and all well trained to serve especially the breakfast team, who were quick and effecient. We walked to the train station in the morning it was a quick walk. This hotel almost got a 5 star rating from me which doesn't happen very often! As we drove up in front of the Hilton Garden Inn we were confused as to where we park to check in being in the city this can be a challenge however; as soon as the attendant noticed our confusion he came right over to...

Haven't been back in Montreal for awhile, and this is definitely one of the most convenient hotels for a downtown neighborhood! Easy access to metro stations, McGill and Concordia universities. Great high-floor swimming pool overlooking the city, although the water quality in the pool wasn't so encouraging. Staff was friendly and helpful, basement parking is a bit challenging and tricky,...

My husband and I were attending the Just For Laughs festival with two other couples and stayed at this great hotel. Close to the festival activities, walking distance to shops, Notre Dame, Mount Royal. Clean, efficient, great hotel. Friendly Staff and very roomy accommodations. We enjoyed a wonderful 4 day weekend.

This is a fairly basic hotel with clean, decent sized rooms. The bed was comfortable, the gym had everything you needed for a respectable workout and the bar/restaurant on the ground floor had half price cocktails between 4 and 7 pm. The rooms are located on the 2 to 10th floors (the higher floors are private residences I believe). The...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
