The rooms are fairly large and have microwave, cups, utensils, etc. Bathrooms are large. Rooms are a bit modern for my taste. Customer service and concierge were very good. Breakfast was ok. We liked the location. Pool was ok, and the rooftop desk was nice. My only hesitation in returning would be rooms were a bit pricey.

Fantastic rooms (upgraded from standard to a suite) without hazzle. Spacious marble bathroom, Big king-size bed with comfort and extra pillows. Coffee-machine in the extra office-space included in the suite. Close to BELL-arena for hockeyfans. Excellent service by frontdesk. Breakfast for champions, but expensive. Easy access to bus service to Airport. Glady return. :)

Hotel room and bathroom were very nice and well-appointed, but what really distinguished our visit to Hotel Le Crystal was the terrific staff. From the parking valet to the front desk staff, everyone was helpful and welcoming. Room service rushed a (literally) 11th hour order to us. And when we realized we had left a cherished piece of jewelry behind,... More

On our 2nd visit to Montreal we wanted to explore the downtown area after exploring most of Vieux Montreal on our first trip.We checked in late a few minutes before midnight but even at that late hour they had a valet available to help us with our luggage and front desk staff who checked us in promptly. The only reason... More

This was a great family friendly hotel. We spent more time in the hotel than anticipated since it was quite possibly the coldest weekend in Montreal and we couldn't go to far with little ones! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The layout separated the king bed from the lounge area were the kids were able to stay. A... More

The room was amazing, they were spacious. The staff was very nice. The wifi didn't work all the time but other then that it was amazing. It was centrally located; walking distance to many locations. The outdoor hot tub area was very peaceful.

We are staying with our children in the Topaz penthouse (2 bedroom suite). It is a great option for families. We had trouble finding a hotel with interconnecting rooms, so this suite was perfect and even has a lounge room, kitchenette, 2 bathrooms and several large terraces with a lovely outlook. All the areas are small (except the main bathroom)... More

This is our first visit to Montreal, Quebec and staying at the Hotel Le Crystal was exceptional. Location was right in downtown where all the tourist sights, the Old town, the Notre Dame and La Ronda are accessible on foot. We went to Jean Drapeau Parc by ferry to look around the Biosphere and climbed up Mount Royal for a... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
