We stayed in Charlottetown for 2 days and enjoyed our stay at the Duchess of Kent Inn We had the third floor to ourselves that included 2 large beds, 2 sitting rooms and a bathroom with a claw footed bath. This amount of privacy was a real treat The Inn was very clean and the wooden floors beautiful. Breakfast was... More

Sharon was a lovely hostess! She greeted us warmly and even had a pocket full of change for the meter and labeled maps for us to use during our stay in Charlottetown. Her rooms are on the higher floors of a beautiful old mansion, so those who have more difficulty with stairs may find it challenging. There is a full... More

Wonderful stay at the Duchess of Kent B&B. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. The home is in downtown Charlottetown close walking distance. The owner is superb!! She is a wealth of information and travel tips... A great ambassador for her city and her province! We opted for breakfast in the morning - delicious and nutritious at a amazing... More

Wonderful host, quaint, clean, and comfortable amenities in the heart of Charlottetown. The location was within a 10 minutes drive from the airport, next to downtown, walking trails, historical sites, Cow's ice-cream (an Island favourite) and theatres. Hostess Sharyn, the Duchess of Kent, answered each query providing maps, advice, and recommendations making the most of our time on the Island.... More

If we delve into the parable of the Good Samaritan, we find that the altruist was able to house the injured man at an inn because the innkeeper is an early incarnation of Sharyn, the proprietor of the Duchess of Kent. Sharyn is truly a kind, compassionate woman who provides a supportive environment for her guests. She runs a business,... More

A perfect central location - I stayed at the Duchess for six nights at the end of July 2015. Walked everywhere, and the hosts were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about what to see, where to eat, shop, etc. They even took me sightseeing on my final day. A truly wonderful experience thanks to their clean, quiet, comfortable accommodations and their... More

Guest room was spacious and comfortable. Private bath in the hall was fine, and it was a nice touch to provide a bathrobe. Not a lot of storage space in the bathroom for our stuff, but able to hang our bag off the wall. Maybe could add some shelves above the toilet? Common areas (living room and kitchen) on second... We stayed with Sharyn in her wonderful heritage home and found the location perfect for getting around and to the event. Her suggestions and ideas on what to do was very helpful. We bopped around the island in the morning and enjoyed the Shellfish Festival when it opened. We loved!!! The Shellfish Festival. Great Value all around!

We stayed at the Duchess in August and were delighted. It is an older establishment but is maintained well and sparkling clean. Sharon, the hostess was very friendly and full of good tips for seeing the island. The location is excellent - three minute walk to the Confederation Centre if you wish to see a show and close to all... More

I was traveling with four family members. Sharyn was amazingly helpful from the first time I contacted her. She was very friendly & helpful. When we arrived, we were all amazed at the beautifully decorated rooms. It felt like you were at home, not staying in some impersonal hotel. Sharyn gave us lots of great suggestions & was on target... More
