I booked 2 nights at this hotel through a Visitor Information Center on September 14th. The hotel made a mistake and wrote the booking down for a week later. When I discovered the error, the person on the desk blamed the tourist office and would offer no help to find another hotel. I had been with the tourist office agent... More

For the money that we paid this is a gut revolting place; small room that we couldn’t fit our luggage has to place them on the bed in order to open them. I saw better bathroom at gas stations than what we found at the hotel. The sink is unusable there’s no room for anything we had to use the... More

This boutique hotel is over priced, for what it provides. The bathroom was clean and had been updated but the rest of the room was very much in need of refurbishing. Room was very small, with little space for luggage. Location was very good, within easy walking distance of downtown Charlottetown. I would not recommend this hotel to friends.

We are a heritage building with smaller type rooms than a large hotel. The rooms vary in size and the larger rooms you pay a little more money for. You were staying in Charlottetown peak season and prices reflect that. We are still considerably lower priced than other downtown hotels. We don't offer the large type rooms as the chain... More

Pretty much a creepy run-down rooming house. Kind of place you just put your bags in and hope you can find enough things of interest to keep you occupied and make you forget about the crappy place you've got sleep in. Way, way over-priced. Room was tiny, the bathroom door kept catching on the electrical cord for the bedside lamp.... More

Great little hotel. Fab location where you can walk pretty much everywhere. Super clean room and bathroom, comfy bed and good service. There are a couple of Keurig coffee machines and tea facilities and a microwave also popped up for guest use while I was there. Combined with the mini fridge it was handy to have these facilities. Not a... More

We visited Charlottetown, PE on a warm evening at the end of July. Surprisingly, the attractive photograph of The Tailor Shop Historic Hotel was not what we encountered as we arrived. Small air conditioners were hanging out of the windows of a narrow house squashed between two others. The entry needed repairs and paint. The "lobby" appeared rundown and down... More

We do not misrepresent what we offer at our hotel. Pictures taken were done so with no filters or editing. All heritage buildings downtown are very closely situated together. Pretty much all boutiques and B&Bs have window air conditioning as these heritage buildings don't have central air. We keep our facility to a high standard of cleaning as this is... More

This is a very nice small hotel located down town Charlottetown PEI. Although the rooms are small I was quite comfortable and it was very clean. The service was excellent and they are very knowledgeable about the area and where to eat and what to do. I really enjoyed my stay.

I stayed in the main floor front room for 4 nights. I don't mind the lack of amenities in this historic building that has no yard to sit in or indoor space with a couch because when you are a tourist downtown there are plenty of cafes and parks to enjoy. And I expect less than luxurious bedding and furniture... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 days in the busy tourist season on PEI it is very clean and the beds are comfortable. Our room was quaintly decorated. We were facing the street and I think the back rooms would have much less street noise if you want to sleep in past 7:30. This is much more like... More

Thank you for saying how clean and comfortable our rooms are we strive to keep a high standard. You stayed with us during high season in Charlottetown and downtown locations like ours are priced accordingly. We still offer the most economical rates in downtown Charlottetown. The Tailor Shop Historic Hotel This hotel is located in an old building in a quiet neighbourhood close to shops, restaurants, the waterfront and the convention centre. It is an old two storey building so do not expect luxury. We stayed in a room on the first floor. There are a few steps into the hotel and a flight of... More
