Oh my... what a nice stay...would've stayed longer had I planned my stuff better. My daughter and I slept very well in super comfortable, clean beds...awesome cozy upstairs, bathroom was big & clean....coffee hot & ready when I woke...I think I drank a whole pot! I wandered out back thru a beautiful serene garden, with fairy homes, a fish pond... More

The signage for this B & B is not readily visible as other B & B we stayed at during our tour across PEI. The owner didn't want to spend the money to get a usual sign. Consequently we rode almost 10 miles out of our way and eventually called to find our where to go because we missed it.... More

I have stayed at many B & B's internationally and I regretted booking this one. Arriving at the B & B we were met at the door with the list of "do's and don'ts" of the establishment! The "welcome" @ the door and décor of the B & B reminded me of British B & B's of 50 years ago,... More

I am sorry to hear, Terry that your stay was disappointing. I am confused however about what you feel were imposing dos and don'ts. If I was a guest in your home, I would remove my shoes at the door as a courtesy whether you asked me or not. The reason we make this request is to help prevent the... More

"Beside The Trail Bed and Breakfast" was in fact convenient to the trail but the breakfast was a bit minimal for getting energy to ride the trail. The owners roast their own good coffee and serve it for breakfast. Too many house rules posted throughout and the "African Themed Room" was a bit disconcerting. If your cycling the Confederation Trail... More

This was my first experience staying at a B&B and initially I felt it awkard to share a meal with strangers but the hosts were so welcoming that I soon felt like I was simply having breakfast at home... except I didn't have to prepare it or wash this dishes! Food was served in a quaint tea room overlooking an... More

Thanks for your comments Diane. We often find our guests a bit timid about sitting with strangers at breakfast. However, this is an integral part of a B&B experience: shareing your experiences and tips with other visitors. We hope to see you again Guy More

At trailmarker 174.5 of the Confederation Trail, this is the perfect location for any cycle tourists. Guy and Cindy have a wonderful location, comfy beds and bike racks in the barn! The coffee that Guy roasts is top notch. I drank WAY too much but couldn't help myself. I took home a bag so I can relive the coffee experience... More

You never know when going to a B&B what you will find. If you are lucky you find a clean, comfortable bed and a great breakfast. That was exactly what we found here. Guy and Cindy were very welcoming. Our room was very cheerful and comfortable. But the best part of our stay was the fabulous breakfast. It was filling... More

I was visiting for a conference at UPEI and was happy to stay at Beside the Trail. The rooms were clean and quaint, and the gardens and tearoom are lovely as well! I looked on their website before booking, and the property and rooms are actually nicer in person. Cindy and Guy are very hospitable and flexible to accommodate various... More

This was my first B&B experience and I must say that I was quite enamoured with it! I was travelling with my husband, 3 year old and best friend for 3 days in PEI. I stayed for 5 nights while visiting the island for work. I found Cindy & Guy welcoming. The room & bathroom meet all my needs & were comfortable, especially the bed & pillows. Everyday the breakfast was on time and enjoyable. I would if the need arose stay again and recommend this B&B.
