The West Inn is like staying in someone's glamorous waterfront home. Out room was quite spacious and appointed with details that made us feel very special. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast looking out into the waters. The manager Nancy Leslie was most helpful with her information and recommendations for our sightseeing on PEI.

Within 1 square mile of downtown Charlottetown, there is quite a concentration of B&Bs. One West Inn is a newcomer to the marketplace, but it stands far superior to it's long established neighbors. I am a frequent visitor to the island, and I truly was Impressed. The house is right on the bay with great views. In the morning you have an actual menu of breakfast choices. Nancy is a great hostess and Benjy is a great cook. There is a lot of room for socialization on the main level and the bedrooms are well appointed. Meanwhile, the owner is artistic, and her artwork adorns the house. You should see her custom curtains with the Charlottetown skyline plus her artwork on the walls. The home has offsteeet parking, and it is a block away from the Boardwalk and the downtown shops. The spiral staircase in the entryway is also an architectural treasure. The home was originally owned by a governmental official, so it definitely was above the norm. The bathroom in Suite 2 was also quite luxurious and spacious. This is definitely THE PLACE to stay.

Well run, super friendly, welcoming inn. Easy to walk into town Rooms modest, nothing fancy...old fashion vibe Generous breakfast. Safe and comfortable choice if you are looking for a home-style stay versus a big hotel stay.

When we got there we were greeted by one of the friendly staff who carried my heavy suitcase all the way up to my room. My first impression of the building was that it was wonderfully elegant and historical. We were taken on a short tour of the inn and I fell in love. The inn is right on the ocean with a gorgeous sunset view, very romantic! One of the common rooms even included a telescope and we were able to see a lovely close up of the moon. Our room was spotless and the bed was very comfy. The dining area was my favourite room in the inn, with large windows that showcased the ocean as we ate our breakfast. We were offered a great variety of choices for breakfast, with outstanding service. The breakfast was very tasty, and I thought about how excited I was to eat it again the next morning. I wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. I highly recommend this remarkable inn!

My husband came to PEI for work and I tagged along. Diana and Nancy were wonderful, so welcoming and hospitable. The room was gorgeous (that soaker tub!!) and the breakfasts were substantial. The location is phenomenal -- I loved being able to walk to downtown shops and restaurants, but also wake up and look out at the water from our room. Thanks for a great visit to Charlottetown.
