We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment at the Sydney Boutique Inn and Suites last week and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. The room was beautiful, the beds quite comfortable, and the location a convenient walk to the local restaurants and stores. We would come back to stay here again in a heart beat.

Friendly staff! Luxurious 2 bedroom apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our only regret was not staying for longer. Most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Breakfast was excellent.....lots of choices, well presented and tidy. Beautiful hotel with a interesting history. Be sure to enjoy a beverage on the patio.

This is a review of the Apartment accommodation at the Sydney. Our unit had two bedrooms (each with a bathroom) at either end of a very large “great room” which included a kitchen. We had three maintenance issues which were fully resolved on the day after the first of our two night stay. We only used one of the two bedrooms and we both found it very quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. The bathrooms were both small and had just six inches of counter space, so we each used a different bathroom to get ready in the morning. The sinks are set at “adult” height (40” I think), so if you have kids with you, they may have trouble using them. Unusual for a hotel of this high class, neither bedroom had a TV. That didn’t bother us, but if you like watching TV in bed, I suggest you ask for a bedroom with a TV. The location was great for us; just a seven minute walk to the theater (Anne of Green Gables), and to each of the two restaurants we went to. Well lit and very safe neighborhood to walk in, even after dark.

My sister and I loved our 3 night stay at the Sydney Suites in May. Our 2-bedroom suite was spacious, airy, and light, and very well-appointed with everything we needed. We loved how well the old convent and school had been transformed into the suites. Breakfast was included in our booking price, and was served in a rather uninspiring, windowless, slightly claustrophobic basement room with the morning television news playing very loudly - that's the only fault I had with the property. The breakfasts were fine, and included fresh fruit and hot dishes, and decent coffee. Staff were lovely and very helpful. There's ample parking in the grounds, and it's a short walk to the historic shopping district and lots of restaurant and bar options along Queen Street. Staff were happy to help us with recommendations and bookings. We'd certainly return again, really enjoyed it! Thank you, Sydney Suites team.

I had the good fortune to stay at the Sydney Boutique Inn in Charlottetown this past Friday. I was coming in on the red eye from Toronto and needed somewhere to sleep, but wanted a stay that was a bit more luxurious. I arrived at the hotel by 2am, and was greeted by their night reception who was pleasant and kind. I was too tired upon arrival to observe much but was given my key and WiFi and headed for my Queen Micro Suite - Room 316. The room was perfect in every possible way and immaculately clean (very important to me) The bed was so regal and so comfortable! Every detail was taken care of. The bathroom had a lovely rain shower, toiletries in an antique glass casing, an actual make-up washcloth - and beautifully monogrammed oversized towels. Coffee, tea, milk and cream awaited me. As well as wine glasses, bottle opener, and bottled water. And it was simply beautiful - the room was just the right size, as was the bathroom, with multiple views out of picturesque windows. I could even see the water. I felt like I was at a manor with the privacy of a hotel. After a leisurely wake up, I went downstairs for my breakfast (part of the package), which I thought was your basic continental breakfast. I was thrilled to see the most delicious spread of breakfast items awaiting me. Bacon, sausage, eggs, home-made muffins, preserves, fruit, yogurt, fresh orange juice, coffee, buns, toast. Basically anything you could want. After a filling breakfast, I had to pick up a few things in Charlottetown, so reception instructed me on where to go to get to the main streets. It was great, as you’re about a 5-8 minute walk to downtown. During the day I noted how lovely the hotel looks - multiple crystal chandeliers, Persian rugs, beautiful antique furniture, stunning large floral prints and patterns reminiscent of days past - it is truly a visual treat. In summery, I’m so glad I stayed at The Sydney, and my only regret is I only had one day there. I would go back in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone seeking luxury and an exceptional stay that easily exceeds any major hotel chain. Thanks Sydney - hope to visit you again soon!
