Very good location for people going to Rogers Centre/CN Tower. Musty smell when first walk in the lobby and also in the room, not sure because its Aug. or if there is moisture in the building. Extremely busy at breakfast time! They should try a different set up to accommodate the amount of people trying to get breakfast, a lot... More

Room was clean and well laid out. Breakfast decent. Very close to Rogers centre and ACC. Staff ok although they tried to talk us into taking 2 rooms instead of the 3 we had booked months earlier. They obviously overbooked and were a little annoyed when we wouldn't take the rooms they were offering. Other than that no complaints. Would... More

Stayed here for five nights for business at the convention center, which was an easy walk, and pleasure. Room was pretty typical Residence studio--good bed, nice seating area, kitchen. Wifi worked nicely and didn't require constant logging in. My room on 5 didn't have much of a view, but on the other hand, they checked me into it before noon.... More

The facilities and rooms were average and what I was expecting. The rooms seemed clean, were comfortable and definitely good for the price I paid. Location is fantastic! The room came with free breakfast but the breakfast area was sooo busy in the morning with adults and many kids that I could not wait in line. They really need a... More

This was our second visit to this location. We returned to the Residence Inn because of its location and amenities. Overall, we enjoyed our two bedroom suite. The staff was very friendly and responsive. Upon our morning arrival, our room was not ready but the front desk associate offered to provide breakfast and arranged to have our baggage to be... More

Very bog standard hotel that needs updating. We had booked a 2 bedroom suite for a week and our first room was not fit for purpose. The air conditioner only worked on one setting - high or nothing at all. The doors to the room stuck and required you to throw your shoulder against them to open. There was no... More

This hotel is downtown and near many of the attractions. The free breakfast is a nice touch, but it gets crowded after 8:30 am. Parking at the hotel is expensive, but we found an outdoor lot a block away that had a good deal. No real complaints though. It's a clean, comfortable hotel with suites and full kitchens, great for... More

Had a really good stay in room 2007 for 2 nights. Great location for downtown and blue jays stadium but 2 working lifts and a small area for breakfast made for a slightly farcical morning routine. The blue jays baseball team played at home and the fans clearly use this place to stay. I would imagine that the hotel would... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
