I stayed in the rose room for one night and was blown away. The room was large, king size bed very comfortable, room was quiet and owners very nice and accommodating. I booked it on a whim so didn't know what to expect, but everything was clean, beautifully decorated and completely exceeded my expectations. Beautiful room and area. Highly recommended,... More

The Ivy Suite is a spacious, fully equipped main floor apartment with access to a lovely backyard deck in a beautiful treed area of the city close to High Park. There are fabulous restaurants and cafes right across the street (two of our favourites were Mabel's Bakery and Pizzeria Defina). The entire space was immaculately clean, and the window air... More

This B&B is a lovely heritage home in a leafy and beautiful neighbourhood of Toronto, just west of downtown. My room (the Loft Suite) was lovely and spacious and impeccably clean. I had a view of the trees in scenic High Park just outside my window. The hosts are friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my stay very much. The... More

My daughter and I stayed overnight in the Daisy room (located in the basement). Although the room was small in size, it was clean and comfortable. The adjoining personal bathroom (sink, toilet, shower) had been recently updated and was clean. There are three bedrooms on this level. Each one has access to a shared kitchen which was also clean and... More

We stayed in The Victorian Suite for four nights at the beginning of September, our first visit to Toronto from the UK, which was for a family party, taking in some sightseeing. We were made very welcome, the room was well appointed, very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast tasty and wholesome. A good, relatively quiet location , close to... More

Margo and Ziggy are excellent hosts in their superbly renovated home from home. Our bedrooms at the BnB were spacious and comfortable and the ducted air conditioning was brilliant (given the heat and humidity during the time we were there). The transit station was less than a 5 minute walk and 25 minutes later you were in downtown Toronto. Very... More

We recently stayed in the wonderful By The Park Bed & Breakfast in Toronto, Ontario, and more specifically in the spectacular Loft, which is not your typical B&B room! The description of the room on the website is no exageration! It is big top-floor open-concept that features a sleeping area with king size bed and night tables, a practical walk-in... More

I must say that I did not read the reviews before booking this lovely home. It is beautiful in and out. I was going to a family reunion in Canada (I'm from Ohio) and stayed here with my cousins from England. My Canadian cousin told me it's a good neighborhood. That was my big concern. WOW! It was everything I... More

Stayed in one of the properties. Stayed in the Willow room - 3rd floor - under the eaves. Love it. Love the decor. Clean. And, ohhh the comfortable king size bed. It's the kind that does not transfer the motion of a restless bed mate... Lots of eating places nearby... one of this is the Lunch Box- Near the Keele... More

My husband and I just enjoyed a 5-day visit to Toronto over the Labor Day weekend. We stayed in the Ivy Suite and were pleased that it was spotlessly clean and contained every amenity from a full refrigerator and stove to a coffeepot and dishes. We were able to enjoy our morning coffee on the back deck and some evening... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
