This hotel was old, dirty, dilapidated and noisy. On the plus side, I never saw any bugs, it had free wifi, it was cheap ($95.00) and restaurants were close by. This was the sketchiest place that I have ever stayed.

Hotel service and location very good. But the place nightmarish. Everywhere dirty, loud you can not sleep. And that everywhere the smell of cigarettes. No air condition, no tv, no window in room.....................................................................................................................

Good sides: Comfortable bedroom with acceptable cleanliness. Thanks to neighbors, quietness was nice. Because of the location close to downtown, very advantageous price! Bed sides: No wardrobe, no lift, no breakfast available. A bit noisy air fan (impossible to switch off).

We were 2 girls just one night in Toronto. 100 USD $ ( 140 C$) it is not cheap for such poorly maintained hotel. Bad smell in the entire building, painting falling out the walls. Stains on the bed sheets I wondered if it was clean!!!! Mold in the bathroom and shower curtain! We could hear ppl walking above us...

This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. The whole place is in serious need of an upgrade. The room was small and dark and not like the pictures, it wasn't the cleanest either. The walls were really thin and we could hear the people in the room next to us. The aircon was extremely loud and...

The hotel itself is not great, but the bed is comfortable, the water is hot, and it's close to the subway, Allan gardens, Eaton center. So overall, no luxury is available, however it will be easy to move around the city and go to the main attractions, and the price is good enough for a small sacrifice.

Stayed a night as a couple and returned to stay two more nights after 3 days. We loved this place due to (a) low cost and (b) location. The hotel is central to all amenities including transportation, food, taxis, tourist information desks, coaches etc as they are within minutes walk away from it. No issues on the odor of cats...

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 10 days and the experience was positive! We were given a good room that was cosy and it was perfect for our long stay. Where else can you find a room with private bathroom and large flat screen TV in the heart of the city for such a price?? Everything in...

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
