This hotel is so cozy and inviting. The rooms are quaint and beautifully decorated. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay the best possible. A big shout out to Heather at the front desk. Having freshly brewed coffee outside our room in the morning was a nice touch. The manually operated elevator was so unique and memorable! Just... More

HOTEL’S FAVORITE REVIEW

This hotel is not just a place to lay your head, it's a unique experience on it's own to add to any trip. My best friend and I were having a nostalgic getaway by seeing Duran Duran in concert at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, which is easy to get to from here on one bus with a bit of walking.... I did not like this hotel, from what it showed on the website to what was actually there were totally different. From the pictures on the website this looked like a very nice hotel but when we got there it was the total opposite of what we expected and we decided not to stay for the 3 nights. I would... More

We stayed in the Gladstone principally due to its West Queen West location and its "stylish" aesthetic. We were disappointed on neither. At WQW and Dufferin, the hotel is within a short walking distance of Ossington and the rest of the WQW shopping. Super friendly check-in and check-out, as well as helpful service when our safe was not working. The... More

A colourful art-filled space on Queen St. West, the Gladstone's generous architecture is welcoming. There are lots of nice touches in the rooms, from the decor to magazines. The hotel cafe is a highlight, with big arched windows, funky light fixtures and fresh tasty food.

The front desk staff were friendly (easy check in/check out). The rooms were tastefully decorated and unique. The bed was very comfortable and the complimentary coffee was a nice touch. Loved the hand-operated elevator too. The bar had live music and the bartender was helpful/friendly too in recommending local beers!

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
