We booked a room for a long stay through Booking.com and when the date approaches, the hotel claimed that our credit card didn't work. It was a surprise because our bank said there wasn't any no problem with that. After 'three attempts' to charge our card which still appeared to be unsuccessful, we decided to give up the room considering...

I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel. We were looking for convenient and affordable and this location satisfied both requirements. The room was small but clean with a coffee maker, and the bathroom had a shower. A basic continental breakfast was complimentary. The lack of available parking was the only drawback. Apparently there are a few paid spots that can...

Bought a groupon for one night, they did not want to honor what I bought. They wanted to fit 4 people in a queen bed. I stayed in many hotels around the world, I thought this was the one of the worst hotel I have ever stayed. I did not like hotel at all.

The rooms are small, and the bathrooms tinier - we had a hard time fitting in the door of the shower - if we were any bigger we'd not get through the door. However, it's very clear on their website the size of the rooms - about 200-250 sq feet; just enough room for a bed and a bedside table....

2 main virtues in this simple hotel near Bloor St in Downtown Toronto: the room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The furniture is tired and there is little charm. However the price is terrific. However, watch out for the no-refund policy.

if you are looking for a well priced, great location that is clean and just to lay your head- this is a great little find. The staff was very nice, the location was amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It's nothing fancy and yes the regular rooms are small and the free breakfast is nothing to write...

We shouldn't call this a hotel. To start the worst 2 days of our trip: the room they gave us was so small I couldn't fit in, not to mention the bathroom: in order to sit on the toilet I had to fit my legs under the sink (I am a small and thin person. Can't imagine a big guy...

It's hard to get a hotel room close to downtown for a good price, so this place is a rare find. The check-out was fast, room clean, everything was ok. Only a few little things bugged me: the check-out staff are not very friendly, bad smell on the elevator, and terrible service while getting by bag back from the luggage...

Booked a couple of rooms with friends. Nothing fancy. Clean. Comfy bed and linens. Grabbed a banana and stale muffin for breakfast. No major complaints. Not the best area at night if you're not from the city. We were only headed to a party down the street. Subway is a 5 min walk. Would recommend for a short, 1-2 night...

I have stayed at this hotel three times in three years and am finally getting around to writing a review. The first year I had the biggest room. It was not huge but was a decent size. The hallway was cooler than the room itself but there was a fan already running when I entered. The temperature in the room...

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
