I just returned from business meetings in Toronto. Whenever I travel to Toronto for business or travel, the Shangri-La Toronto is my go to. The service is the best service of any hotel chain I have ever visited. The staff go out of their way to make you feel special and remembered - this starts with the valet attendants who are eager to “welcome me back” and carry’s through to the check in. Viktoria at the front desk is always eager to take care of my requests. I will also mention that the lobby lounge has the best entertainment - do not forget to try the sliders and truffle French fries. The rooms are very comfortable and have every amenity needed. I can’t wait for my next visit!! Home away from home.
I have been staying at the Shangri La Toronto almost once a month during the pandemic. It is my trip away from home known as a staycation. I got to say, although I have stayed at all the 5 star hotels in Toronto, the staff at the SL really make you feel special. Albeit, I’m now considered a regular, their service never waivers, but they always try to maintain consistency with exceptional service. From the valet with Marlon who is always helpful with charging our hybrid car or forgetting something in it, to the front desk staff from Viktoria, Dean and Willow in making checkin seamless, to the room service staff which are always so friendly and accommodating. Now, I understand during the pandemic staffing at hotels have been challenging so getting assistance might not be as readily, but they do make the best efforts to make your experience memorable. Lastly, the CNY/Lunar high tea was amazing. The dim sum portion was top notch. Kudos to the chef and staff. I’m still craving them and it’s been 5 days! If you are looking for a stay in the city, come to the Shangri La. You won’t regret it!…
Thank you Front Desk Perry for helping me translation and arranging early checkin and a very nice room for me and my girlfriend. We enjoyed our anniversary here so much. Really happy to have Perry who can speak Mandarin in Shangri-La Toronto, let us feel like home here! Will come back next time for sure!
Ate at the hotel lobby. Was served by Ali who was extremely attentive and provided excellent service. I would recommend spending some time to dine in here. Food came out quick and had good menu choices.
We enjoyed our first trip much after the pandemic since 2020. Although we arrived at the Shangri-La Toronto at the very late night, staffs here were still energetic and welcoming us with true-hearted. Specially thanks to Perry who checked us in, we could feel his passionate and smile even with his mask on. He even escorted us to the elevator and explain the hotel information to us in details after checkin. The room was very clean and tidy, this is very important during the COVID, concierge, housekeeping and all the hotel staffs were so nice. Thank you so much Shangri-La, we truly feeling welcomed during the stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the Shangri-La, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, service is excellent. The gym/pool staff were particularly helpful and friendly, even gave the kids pool noodles to use. Also the reception staff were super kind to our kids. Our room on the 14th floor had a fabulous view of the CN Tower. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff very helpful. We had a brilliant stay and would not hesitate to stay again.
Staff of the hotel is very respectful and friendly. Especially I would like to promote Seraphina for her attentiveness and care. She made our stay more pleasant and enjoyable. In overall we had a wonderful time during our stay in Shangri La Toronto.
Beautiful hotel and very courteous service and staff. Great location downtown Toronto. The lobby is extra special and a very popular place in the evenings with great cocktails and love music. We stayed in the Fazioli room and it was beautiful. The tub had an amazing view overlooking University Ave. The hotel has a signature scent that was so yummy we bought the room spray for it. Would recommend and stay here again.
We got a table in the lobby. We got Samantha (I think that was her name from her nametag, she had tattoos everywhere) as our server. Waited a long time for everything. We weren't told about any delay. The positive part of this visit was that the food (pork belly and shrimp dumplings) was great. Service was unpleasant and we had to wave down the server for everything. I was surprised because it didn't seem too busy and there were empty tables.
I have been staying at the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto for almost ten years. I consider it my home in Vancouver while traveling on business. They have all of my details saved on their database so when I arrive there is no need to explain what I need it's already done.
