Very nice room, amazing bed, pillows, shower; all first class. The front desk gentleman, Ron, was very pleasant, prompt and sincere. Price was reasonable considering the room and service. We will stay there again the next time we visit Toronto, which is every few months.

I was blown away by the beauty of our room at the Pantages hotel, where a friend and I stayed for the evening of May 12th. Bright lighting, modern finishes, and a spectacular view up on the 16th floor. We were also met by a very friendly front desk clerk who happily welcomed us! When I stay at a hotel, the most important thing is clean bedding and a bathroom. The remainder is not as essential or worth complaining about, for me. The attention to detail on cleanliness was indeed lacking for the room in general... You could tell there were areas that may have appeared to be untouched by prior guests and so were not cleaned at all before our arrival (layer of dust on the stove top, some crumbs under the TV stand, a few stray hairs). With this being said, the bedding and bathroom were clean, so it didn't really take away from my experience. The area is great. Very close to everything downtown, parking right next door/across the street. Victoria street itself tends to be a bit less busy I found, so easier to grab an Uber or pull out of the parking garage. The only other point I would make is a lack of communication. On the morning of May 13th, at 6AM, the fire alarm was triggered due to the sprinklers going off in another room (whether there was actually a fire or merely a malfunction is unclear, since we weren't told). We all shuffled out of the building where we waited outside for over an hour, with absolutely no communication from the front desk clerk or any employees of the hotel. While I entirely understand that the fire alarm and the events that transpired with the firefighters was out of their control, keeping guests in the loop was something that could have been done better. I watched the clerk move around the lobby and other areas, purposefully avoiding eye contact with guests, while we stood confused and unsure of when we could return to our rooms. With all this being said, I would indeed return to Pantages for another stay. While there were a few notes of improvement, my overall experience was good and it was great value for the money.

More like a 2-star.We had our Elopement Wedding here and stayed for the weekend based on photos & location. Firstly I will say the renovated rooms are esthetically pleasing but everything else was absolutely terrible. They were aware of the occasion as I had called in weeks prior and asked if we could have a decent view or change of room category even if it was from king to queen (given my spouse being American) and early check-in because our flights got in around 9am. They said call in the day before. I checked to see if they had available rooms online the night before and day of and there were quite a few. I called and spoke to a man at the front desk who’s tone was dismissive and my opinion quite rude from upon answering the phone. He was able to pull up our reservation saw the previous notes, said they were fully booked when I asked about the early check-in and when I explained there was multiple room categories available online from the previous day he said then go book it online when I was extremely polite. We arrived at 11am hoping they would accommodate us in one of the available rooms and a woman at the front desk before pulling up our reservation of course announced check-ins at 3pm. It was a lost cause. They said they could check our bags so we did and sat in the mall until check-in. When way came back the long stem rose pinned to my husbands dust bag for our ceremony that day was snapped completely off the stem. The room was basic, view of the hospital not city. We asked about room service and they clearly said they don’t offer it. We received a paper menu under the door that said we could dial a 4 digit # from our room and the lobby restaurants delivers, isn’t that room service? Asked for a late check out and you guessed it, same guy I spoke to the day before check-in answered and said “11 is check out and I’ll give to 1130, after that it’s $50 per” I cut him off and said that’s fine. I was over the whole experience. Here’s the best part they banged on our door as we were leaving at 11:24 and the housekeeping lady didn’t have a cart she said I was told to check and she had her phone out. I’ve met friendlier staff at lower tier hotels. Not one single request accommodation but the overall part of this that is sad is the attitude of their front desk staff. Very Rude and I believe tone is everything in this business

This was our first visit to Canada and this hotel did not disappoint . It was lovely spacious and clean. The shower was excellent and the amenities were fantastic. The hotel is in the heart of downtown, minutes from the Eaton centre and from the subway so you can get a train anywhere. For breakfast we visited Frans Cafe which is practically next door and the breakfasts were amazing. Pella who worked on reception was so friendly and helpful and is an absolute credit to the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone holidaying/vacationing in Canada

Loved our stay at Pantages Hotel, it's stylish, very central and reasonably priced. Ron at the front desk was wonderful, very patient and helpful. Special props to the women that cleaned our room for being so flexible, I wish we knew their names so we could let management know what a great job they did and were very flexible.

Not part of a major chain, Pantages had a nice ambiance and decor. The hotel is well placed for the Eaton Centre. Our room was clean and had all we needed. Stages bar offered nice food and a large variety of drinks.
