New managing staff needs more training and more patience especially when loyal clients constantly book there and never had any issues before. New staff took 60 mins to check me in and took long with others clients as well. Very Unprofessional, I was late for certain appointments because of this and did not enjoy my stay as I didn’t get much time in the hotel. Usually when I booked all other times it only would take a few minutes to check me in. Not pleased this time around. I Would rather much deal the original staff.
This is a great hotel to stay at in downtown Toronto. The staff are curteous, the rooms are big and quiet, it's in a great location and parking is easy to find. The bathroom is lovely and large and comes with great amenities (especially if you forgot your lotion, etc). It's clean, comfortable and would stay here again.
No room service for am breakfast, no valet parking, no housekeeping ono two day stay. Housekeeping did not clean the room. No turn down service. For the money spent, I would expect most of these services available.
Just arrived from another great stay at the Soho Hotel & Residences. Despite being in a second floor room facing the street, once the drapes were closed, couldn't hear a sound. The bed and luxury bedding gave me some of my best nights' sleep in a hotel setting. The large luxurious bathroom is always a treat but I truly wish I could take their walk in closet and all that space home with me. The friendly staff assisted me with all my queries and the responses were quick and efficient. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Toronto - no matter the reason.
Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Soho Hotel. Highly recommend without any reservations whatsoever. Helpful, friendly staff. Attentive to requests. Fantastic onsite Cafe and restaurant( Moretti) . Exquisite.
I booked a room for my parents who were visiting from out of town. Check in was super easy and very hospitable. The were most excited about the bathroom and heated floors. Great location in Toronto for a quick visit. Close everything, including Beast Pizza.
Excellent location for business or pleasure. Clean rooms. Competent personnel. Welcoming place. Prompt responses to requests for assistance. Good sized rooms, well arranged. A worthwhile place to stay.
The staff are amazing. The rooms are super luxurious and clean. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are all marble with heated floors and lovely soaker tubs. I would recommend this place for anyone who knows value of a good hotel. Underrated and worth every penny!!!!n
Overall good stay with good service from Scott but beware of the gym aka “health club”. No one checks vaccinations papers, young attendant doesn’t even acknowledge your presence when you come in and honestly not sure when they last cleaned the gym. Hair and dust everywhere. IT. WAS. GROSS. With Covid, you would think they would be making more of an effort of cleaning protocols. I think they purposely made the flooring speckled so you can’t see the hair balls and dirt. Basically tried not to touch much and kept it limited from using much. And what is up with the set up? You have the treadmills staring away from the TVs and their treadmill monitor don’t even work. You can’t watch any tv! Go at your own risk. For a boutique hotel I expected better.
It was my hubby’s birthday and I wanted to make it extra special with a romantic gateway in our home city Toronto. I chose The SoHo’s Romantic gateway package witch promised a sparkling wine in the room upon arrival I also added to the special requests chocolate covered strawberries and hypoallergenic bedding. I thought we can order room service for dinner. Their website does not offer dining in their restaurant or spa services or hut tub and pool usage at this time which is noted. However their is nothing about room service on their website. The first rude awakening was the lack of greeting at the front desk which I pretended not to notice. When asked about room service, she said there is none unless we want to call the restaurant to order food but will have to go downstairs buy ourselves to get it and it will be in boxes but they might be able to give us cutlery. Hello? Do we really want to do that when we are out for a romantic gateway? I don’t think so!When we entered the room there was no sparkling wine or strawberries as a matter of fact that was extremely disappointing. I went down to reception and the front desk person said that there are no special request with my reservation I found it quite strange and she said she does not see the Romantic gateway package in my reservation. Wow! There’s a big discrepancy in the system. I asked her if we can make the adjustment. She said she’ll try, they might have the sparkling wine but not the strawberries. I almost gave up even on the wine when somebody knocked on the door and there was the wine which I was great full for with a bag of trail mix which was kind of insulting. I am a former five star Toronto hotel employee and if something like this would have happened in the hotel I worked would be ashamed of. At the checkout I wasn’t even asked how was my stay. And for all this wonderful service I paid $450.It’s Covid, There are restrictions but does not entitle your employees to forget their manors or their training and just be straight forward rideAlso get your facts right on your website.…
