an excellent stay at this cool boutique hotel at a fabulous location. Room smelled a bit musty. Front desk seemed a bit disorganized. Roomy rooms. Very comfortable beds. Meeting rooms too cold. way too cold! windows not soundproof from outside traffic

Great stay. Not one hiccup during the whole week. Rooms are modern, spacious and beautiful. Bathrooms have heated floors and a wide selection of creams and soaps. Great location and decent value. Very recommended!

I booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews, and am very happy that I did. The hotel is easy to find, centrally located, has onsite parking, friendly staff, and beautiful rooms. I was only in Toronto for one night and wanted to be close to food and entertainment. I was able to leave the car and walk everywhere, making... More

Recently I wrote about three very different styles of hotels in Toronto that I had the privilege and honor of recently staying in and reporting on: This, therefore, is the last of the four properties - with the exception of one final hotel where I had lunch prior to leaving the city, and that review should follow in a subsequent... Soho is situated in downtown Toronto and is among the action. The room I stayed in had heated tiles!!! The bed & pillows were so soft and comfy, I really didn't want to leave. There's alot to do nearby and a bar downstairs if you need a drink. Great night's sleep!

We spent four nights here during a visit to Toronto to see museums and eat out. We found the room to be exceptionally spacious and comfortable, offering everything we could have wanted in a hotel room. The bathroom, with floor lighting and heated tile floors, was especially well appointed. Parking (extra of course) was convenient. The staff were uniformly helpful... More

This was one of the least expensive hotels for an overnight stay. It is a combination of residence condos and hotel. Generally you will be placed on the lower three floors of the building. I would have preferred higher. The room itself was very good. Bathroom had heating tile floors, drapes opened/closed with a wall switch. Large HD tv on... More

SoHo Metropolitan was the perfect hotel for us. The bed was comfortable and bath spacious and elegant. We were on the 2nd floor which was near the pool and fitness room. The concierge desk was especially helpful with dining reservations and transportation arrangements from the airport. It is in a very convenient location - near the CN Tower.

We stayed here in late August for 3 nights as our base for going to 3 Blue Jays night games and doing lots of touring around the city in the daytime and our choice could not have been better ... it was simply great. Perfect location just a block away from the Rodgers Centre but it was very quiet and... More

We went down for the Blue Jays game and never stayed here before. Location is perfect for the game, bars, restaurants and a short walk to the water front. Staff are excellent. Rooms are well appointed and modern. Overall I can't say enough good things about this hotel.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
