I was recently in Toronto for work and the creative agency we work with had booked the hotel. I am so glad they chose this one. The room was incredible; it had amenities I've never seen in a hotel before. The heated floors in the bathroom were wonderful. The staff was amazing. And, the mattress in the room was the...

We were at the SoHo for 3 nights. The rooms were clean, the beds SOOOO comfortable, and the service was incredible. The staff was so helpful and friendly, and they knew everyone by name. The restaurants are also excellent, including one run by a Top Chef chef. When our door key had to be "re-energized," the hotel employee returned with...

This is a great hotel. Staff is always friendly and eager to help. They recognize me everytime I return for business and love their attention to details. Romm as clean, comfortable and little requests are remembered for the next visit.

The room is very comfortable and the layout is great. The bathroom being separated by the dreesing room from the bedroom is lovely. The heated floor in the luxurious bathroom is a treat. And the food in the restaurant ,Luckee , is delicious.

When we travel to Toronto we always stay at the Soho Met. We have had nothing but positive experiences there. Staff, rooms, facilities are all wonderful! The beds are heavenly! The bathroom is large and luxurious (and the main reason I keep going back ;). My husband and I had stayed just a few days prior to this visit and...

We had a wonderful stay at the Soho Metropolitan. Great downtown location. Friendly and efficient staff. Large room with a beautiful bathroom (underfloor heating!). Good breakfast, with gluten-free toast. We hope to return here.

I stayed at the hotel for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. I received a complimentary room upgrade upon arriving. The staff were friendly and very helpful. My only complaint was that I was able to hear footsteps and talking outside my room.

The pool and hot tub were utterly filthy and in major disrepair. Loud construction inside and outside hotel starting 7 am every day. The breakfast options were too pricey for what you got. Washroom and bed linens were the only saving grace for this hotel.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
