We stayed here in late August for 3 nights as our base for going to 3 Blue Jays night games and doing lots of touring around the city in the daytime and our choice could not have been better ... it was simply great. Perfect location just a block away from the Rodgers Centre but it was very quiet and... More

We went down for the Blue Jays game and never stayed here before. Location is perfect for the game, bars, restaurants and a short walk to the water front. Staff are excellent. Rooms are well appointed and modern. Overall I can't say enough good things about this hotel.

A great hotel in a nice downtown location, absolutely love how large the bathroom is, with a tub and separate shower. Very nice. There is also a large walk in wardrobe. Bed is very comfortable. We ate at Wahlburgers which has a restaurant on the ground floor. Yummy.

I booked my room(s) through Hotwire . I received this hotel that is a 4 1/2 stars at a 3 star price! I was looking rooms with two beds, and this hotel is made up of mini suites. There are only 4 rooms with two beds! There was a mix up when my children arrived the day before us! And... More

Gorgeous room, gorgeous bathroom! The best bathroom I have ever had in a hotel! I'll stay here again for that very reason. Location is moments walking distance to the Blue Jays stadium. Busy street, but you're in Toronto so it's expected. Service was excellent. No complaints!

Whilst no doubt a great location and well presented hotel, my room had issues, one of which took 3 days to resolve (curtains stuck open). Breakfast was also very disappointing with poor communication about the procedure and very slow service. Quite unexpected for over $20. Maybe just an off day but it left a bitter taste.

We had an amazing stay at this property. Our room was really spacious, and so comfortable. I can't say enough great things about the room, the bed, the spacious bathroom and shower - it was all great, and very relaxing. The staff were EXCEPTIONAL - everyone was very helpful and nice. The hotel has a service in the morning where... More

We come to Toronto yearly and have stayed at a different hotel each year but have finally found the one we will return to next year. The large standard room and bathroom , well lighted with electronically controlled drapes, nice amenities including Frette sheets, helpful concierge, great location for restaurants and business are all imminently appealing. There were a couple... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Soho Met in downtown Toronto for the weekend. We were able to check in early, as our flight arrived prior to their regular 3pm check-in time. And after check out we were able to store our luggage until we were ready to head to the airport at the end of the day. The... More

The Soho Metropolitan is, hands down, the best luxury hotel experience in Toronto. Hands down. And I've stayed in many luxury hotels in Toronto over the years -- the Four Seasons, the Ritz-Carlton, Le Germain Toronto. I stayed at the Soho Met for the first time during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival and was blown away. The spacious premier... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
