Unfortunately I only had 24 hours in Toronto, therefore I planned to make the most of the city, instead I arrived.... spent an hour swimming in the huge tube, then curled up on the cosy couch to watch movies before heading to one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in, for a solid 7 hours sleep (a jet lag...

Excellent room. Hotel staff are brilliant and go out of their way to make stay the best. Heated floors in bathroom are a nice touch. Great restaurants very close by as well as a great convenience store and entertainment district. Will stay again.

Great boutique hotel with personalized attention to each client. I can't say enough about the bathroom. It was beautiful, enormous and has a deep tub, separated shower, heated floors and a large vanity with lots of mirrors.

This was my first stay at Soho Metropolitan and I was most impressed with the service and quality. The location was perfect for work and entertainment/shopping. The concierge staff were also very helpful. Luckee Restaurant is also a must try, the menu is fabulous and available for room service. I will definitely be back.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
