This has to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. We arrived hours after getting married. We were greeted, offered champagne, and assisted to our room. In our room we were delighted to find a beautifully decorated space, clean and a stunning view of Toronto. They even added chocolates on the bed as a little extra! At our hotel booked dinner we were offered wine and a free dessert. Upon return to our room we were brought a bottle of wine as a gift from the hotel. Truly dreamy experience, 10/10 would recommend. Only regret was that we only booked one night!

This is the second time we have stayed here, and it defines luxury. From the moment we pulled our car up and entered the hotel, you could see proper protocols and policies in effect against covid. I always look for this during these times and was impressed with the signage, and amenities available to make sure the environment was safe. When we entered our beautiful room, we saw a hand written note from the GM welcoming us back, with a whole covid kit including masks, wipes and hand sanitizer, the bed and pillows were so comfortable, and with the auto room darkening shades we almost slept in the next day! This hotel is impeccable. It was welcoming, friendly, safe, luxurious and perfect. We will be back again for sure!!

So this was our annual luxury hotel stay during our anniversary weekend. What can I say, the Ritz Carlton in Montreal charges the same amount of Bonvoy points that we paid for this property, and - really - it's just no comparison in terms of quality. Courtesy of Bonvoy status we were upgraded from a Superior suite to a Deluxe suite. I have no idea what the difference is, the images on the hotel website suggest that it's the same room, and given that this hotel has no really high floors with a view, it really makes no difference whether you're on floor 16 or 24 (where we were). Well, it's a suite, so it's spacious. The quality (with the exception of the bathroom) is all very much Sheraton like. There's tacky stuff like a ginormous TV above a fake fireplace in the living room. The thing is, the resolution is so low that you end up not wanting to watch anything on it, tacky, they went for big as opposed to quality. The room controls are stuck on the walls as opposed to smoothly integrated into them. Basic eyesores like that. The bathroom has a TV in the mirror, but it worked really only on and off. Pointless gimmickry as opposed to quality. We ended up trying to use the Nespresso coffee maker but the cream was sour. The memory foam pillows I had pre-ordered as part of my booking - not there. To be fair, the hotel responded quickly to my call and brought coffee creamer and the pillows, but given their nightly rate, this was all underwhelming. We greatly enjoyed the restaurant/bar on top of the hotel, they mix some great drinks up there, prices are perfectly reasonable. The staff behind the bar were super efficient and friendly, despite the obnoxious nouveau riche folks they had to serve, folks who thought that the hotel mask policy couldn't possibly apply to them. You get the idea. Staff in general were great, very professional, very friendly. We had a good conversation with one of the doormen in the lobby area, he did a great job. Now, the room we were in goes currently for about 750 CAD$ per night plus taxes. If you have been lucky enough to stay in comparably priced hotels, let's just say you'd find the room underwhelming. There's no view to talk of, and the quality of the room itself is middling.

My Daughter and I stayed two times during Summer 2019. It has taken me a long time to write this review, as I wanted to put some time between me, and our stay. Check In - Horrible. We arrived by Uber we picked up at the Toronto Airport. A car in front of us, arrived - and door man bent over backwards to help them. We were ignored. Guest server complained to us about working for Marriott, about his job and everything in between. We were given a room key and sent on our way. No room escort. Baggage arrived shortly there after. No Butler to greet us, help unpack or show us the room. After two stays we still count not work out how to use the coffee maker. I felt very disappointed in the service, and rather then writing a bad review, I contacted management. They were kind, helpful and understanding. We were attending my fathers funeral the following day - and were all ready on edge. The Butler called at 3pm , after we had been in the room (we were able to get a early check in at 1:30 which was AWESOME) to see if we needed help unpacking. A roll away bed was brought in for my daughter. The TV still had the prior guests name welcoming them to the hotel. Room Service: Wonderful Dinning Room: Loved the Bread, and Dinner was very good. Work out - Swimming: My brother enjoyed both. Bar: The lobby bar was perfect. Drinks were lovely, and the bar tender was the best I have ever had, outside of Raffles in Singapore. I wanted a drink which she did not have all the items for - she made a point of getting them from the upstairs bar for me personally. Tea and Coffee Butler Service: Exceptional. Clothing being pressed: 2 pc per person. Well done and very quick. Bathrobe: I am Pooh Sized and the bathrobe was not idea for me, the sent down for one from the Spa so I could use it. Business Service; Quick turn around. Very pleased. House Car: Used it one way for the Theater. Very nice. Hotel Safe: Was able to leave items between my two stays. Very pleased. Final thoughts, I had planned on returning home this summer (Mothers funeral) but due to Covid we were not able to travel. 157 days locked in my house, living in So Cal. I am dreaming of the St. Regis Toronto, and can not wait to get back - for their morning coffee service! I do think the hotel needs to work on luxury service skills with their staff if they want to play with the big boys. If they want to stay a 4 star hotel, for a business client, they are doing a good job. Room Booking: We stayed both times in a one bedroom suite. If possible, get the corner unit. Much more light and space. Both rooms were able to hold a roll out bed with no issues.
