Great welcome from Jeremy, lovely room at the front of the house. Shared bathroom which was fine. Complete access to the kitchen at any time. Very good breakfast with helpful conversations. Jeremy booked tours for us - Niagara and Toronto city - and taxis when we needed them. There were good restaurants close by and easy access to the city... More

We loved staying at Jare's Place on our recent trip! Jeremy, our host, was always extremely pleasant, and he went out of his way to make sure that we had an enjoyable stay. The room was decorated beautifully, and he makes the best breakfasts! We had restaurant-style meals at the bed and breakfast. He made recommendations for the surrounding area,... More

At the end of our Canada Trip we had two nights in Toronto, for which we stayed at Jares Place B&B. The building is pretty, clean and furnished tastefully and spacious. Breakfast was delicious (the pancakes haven't been too dark ;)) ) and Jeremy is a very nice host. We enjoyed our time very much. The only drawback is that... More

Jeremy is very nice and enthusiastic. The room was very clean and provides many perfumes in the bathroom. The breakfast was amazing and he even gave me the recipe! It is so sad he is going to close b&b, but I believe that whatever his next career is, his service and spirit is always impressive. Thank you for bringing me... More

The five of us had a fabulous time at TIFF and really enjoyed having Jeremy as our host. We had comfortable, clean rooms, nice amenities, and great breakfasts. We loved that he sat and chatted with us. Best wishes to you in your future endeavors!!

We fell on our feet with Jare's Place, our host Jeremy was delightful and helpful with tips and suggestions, His breakfasts are legendary! The B&B is ins a very nice neighbourhood with loads of great eateries and atmosphere, just a 20 minute street car ride from the CN tower. We walked there taking in the sights in about 1 hour.... We stayed in the Tangerine Room which is downstairs. It was excellent for us. We stayed 4 days and were very comfortable as it has its own bathroom. Jare is a wonderful host and I think we solved many world situations over our breakfast chats with him and other guests. Do yourself a favour and stay here. It is right... More

I stayed at Jare's Place a few weekends ago. This was not a Toronto neighborhood that was familiar to me (Leslieville), so I was a bit apprehensive at finding a suitable spot. I had called Jare (short for Jeremy), the owner and found him to be very helpful and responsive so I booked. I had the Strawberry Room and the... More

My husband and I have stayed at B&Bs for the past 35 years and Jare's Place has been one of the best! The location is perfect for anyone wanting a neighborhood experience (with many excellent restaurants and shops) without forsaking convenience. It is only one block from the trolley line and walkable (although a hefty walk) to downtown. The property... More

From booking, to staying, to even after we had left, Jare's Place was magnificent. You really feel as if you are a good friend who has come to stay a few days in Jare's chic house. My cousin and I stayed in the Mint-Tea room for three nights. We chose Jare's place because we wanted more affordable accommodations than the... More

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
