I stayed here for business but was pleasantly surprised by its proximity to the Air Canada Centre. The rooms are luxurious with all the amenities you would expect at this price point. Food was great and the lobby bar is well placed. A great Downtown choice.

We stayed one night, and it was a lovely night. This is the second time we've stayed at Le Germain, the first time was at the one on Mercer in Toronto. As with our stay there the staff were lovely, the rooms are very well appointed with lots of lovely features and special touches. I love the sophistication of this... More

This place is great! If you''re a tourist, everything you could possibly think of to do is within walking distance. We spent 4 days there and never Ubered once! It's even right across the street from the Railroad station that has an express train to the airport. The hotel itself has very contemporary furnishings. It's small enough that the front... More

We loved our stay. The room was beautifully set up, wonderful bed, well-appointed bathroom, nice soap, shampoo, & conditioner. Our room was also super-quiet. The staff was wonderful, helpful at the front desk and the concierge was very friendly and helpful as well. We had a good breakfast with lots of options to suit anyone's preferences. The only thing I... More

Dear tkrobe, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and highlight so many positive aspects of your stay. Our music is indeed programmed for different genres at different times of the day. We did have an issue last week where the incorrect playlist was playing at the wrong time of day. This is actually one of my... More

Spectacular room with the "middle of the room shower" as the 1st thing you see when you walk in. Couple the modern chic elegance with the tremendously friendly service - exemplified by Joanna at the hotel bar on her 2nd day - this is a must future stay!!!

Dear draustriaco, Thank you for your review of your time with us. I am thrilled to hear your comments about Joanna and will make sure they get back to her. It is always great when new team members fit right in! I hope we see you again soon.... maybe when the Blackhawks play the Leafs! Thanks again, Paul de La... More

The service was excellent. The view from the 8th floor overlooking the CN tower was fabulous. If you want to sleep peacefully, select the room on the other side of the hotel. Plenty of hotels, shops and the lake are nearby. Great for families, singles and business travelers.

The wife & I stopped here for 10 nights for our holiday. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. We had mini bar, safe, iron and ironing board, pretty much everything we need to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was a continental style which was adequate for me but if you wanted omelette or pancakes then I'm afraid that would... More

Small, bright lobby with an adjoining bar; elevators that require room key to access; friendly, helpful staff; great location across from Air Canada center and close to Union Station and Rogers Center. The hotel is also attached to a shopping area with a Longo's (like a Fresh Market) and the LCBO (liquor store), which means no need to go outside... More

Beautifully fitted out, as other reviewers have said — so I won't go through all the gory details. I was on a month-long trip around eastern Canada and US, and apart from a hotel in Midtown Manhattan, this was the most expensive place on my trip. I chose it because it was well reviewed on this site and because it's... More

I stayed in this hotel for two nights. This hotel is better than I expected. First, it's located near Union station, which has a direct link train to the Pearson international airport. From the airport to the Union station via the direct link train UP takes only 25 minutes, and you walk from Union station to the hotel takes you... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
