I had stood at the Downtown Home & Inn after my flight had been cancelled due to snow. Ultimately, the beautiful house, comfortable room, terrific host, Kerem, and central location made me wish that I stood here throughout the duration of my Toronto trip. If you are seeking a friendly, quiet, and safe place to stay when visiting Canada's largest... More

Good and enjoyable stay. Kerem is a friendly and easygoing man, and will help you if you need anything, like maps or tips about the city. The hotel is clean, breakfast choice is good, and in general it is a good value for money. If coming back to Toronto, I would stay there again.

Great B&B. Clean, calm, quiet, and in a great location. Close to everything. The hosts are very nice and helpful. Great value for the $$$ right in the middle of Toronto. We have stayed in a few other places but this is definitely our favorite. We will be staying there again and again.

Downtown Home Inn had everything I was looking for: - downtown location close to public transit - quiet - clean - fantastic service - and even sightseeing tips! I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Toronto!

Very charming and central location. It was a 5 minute walk to the Wellesley subway stop, the house was very clean, Keres was a very nice host and very nice to talk to. He made you feel like it was part of your place. The sleep was good and you could not hear any traffic on Church St. and surrounding... More

My boyfriend and I spent 4 nights at Downtown Home Inn and we enjoyed our stay a lot. Location is perfect, downtown but in a calm street. There are many services and nice restaurants around and it was nice to walk in the neighbourhood. The house was very clean, as well as our room, which was also so comfortable. Though... More

A retired husband and wife, we visited Toronto for a 'nostalgic' trip into our past. The building is an older house with a number of bedrooms, and a kitchen/dining area that has been recently decorated and re-applianced. The bedrooms are small but functional. The shared bathroom might become busy, but that wasn't a problem during our stay. We had quiet... More

I live here for one night for business. The room is very clean and warm, just like home. It only takes 5 minutes to the subway station and there is a big supermarket near the building. It is very quiet even it is located in downtown, which is very suitable for studying. The hotel owner is very friendly and ready... More

We stayed at the Downtown Home Inn in May 2015 and could not have been happier with the quality of the accommodations and warm attentive care we experienced. We were happy to have reserved the full apartment on the lower level of this clean, comfortable b & b. Having a private bathroom and kitchen allowed us some added privacy, however... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
