Stayed at the Ramada Plaza while recently attending an event being held at the hotel. You will note as soon as you enter the lobby that this is an older hotel that is definitely showing its age. The rooms are small and in need of an upgrade. Furniture is worn, wallpaper peeling in corners and halls have that “old hotel” smell. Rooms do not have modern amenities like easy to access plug ins or closet space. However I want to recognize that the rooms are clean and comfortable. Bedding and beds were modern and provided for a good sleep. As well, the bathroom appears to have received a recent modernization with a large walk in shower however the bathroom was very tiny. The hotel does not have a lounge or restaurant that serves lunch or dinner. There is a place open for breakfast. The staff in the lobby were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a decent neighbourhood as far as being a short walk to a number of good pubs and restaurants. If you have reason to be in the neighborhood and are looking for a convenient and clean spot this Ramada will work. However I believe you will be able to find more modern accommodations for a similar price.

Not very clean but lots of scented deodorizer to cover up the dirt smell. A bottle of CLR and some elbow grease might help this. So gross I had to go elsewhere to shower.can see myself ever staying there again.

This was clearly the best hostile stay I have ever had in my life. The rooms were wonderful, and staff were amazing. It was very central to everything I needed during my two days day. I would highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ramada. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. Clean linens and good housekeeping staff. However, the floor is uneven and carpet outdated. A good renovation will make it perfect. Sauna is good too. Location is superb as it is near everything. Will stay here again.

The room itself was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom however, needs some upgrades. The tiles in the shower looked old and in need of a very good scrubbing. The location is great. Only took 10 minutes to walk to Dundas square. My main complaint is the parking fee. $35 dollars a night is pretty pricey considering I had already paid $150 for the room. All in all I would stay again but I would look around at other hotels first to compare parking prices. I know it’s Toronto and parking is expensive everywhere but I feel like places take advantage of that and know that customers will pay because there aren’t other options.

This hotel and this entire chain (Ramada) has seen better days. The furniture is squeaky, the drapes are stained, the carpets are dirty, the list goes on and on. The staff at the front desk are grumpy towards clients and that's a tell-tale sign that something is not right with the place. The underground parking costs $35/night + tax = $39+. That seemed rather expensive considering that the hotel is far away from downtown and you have to walk many blocks to get to the nearest metro station to go anywhere. All around it was a disappointing experience.

This was my 3rd visit to Toronto and first stay at the Ramada. It was ok but dated and the location for me was too far from Union Station albeit still within walking distance. The East Side, Downtown Toronto just feels a bit unsafe with some weirdos hanging around the area. I wouldn’t choose this hotel again personally but only because it didn’t suit my needs and i rushed into booking the hotel. The room was spacious and great for families

We were so pleased that we chose this hotel and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. So many hotels to choose from in Toronto and we made the right choice. From check in to check out we were treated like family, Our home away from home! We had the 1bdrm Queen Suite which was like having our own condo with separate rooms, comfy beds & very clean. We walked to The Elgin Theatre, Eaton centre, Old Spaghetti Factory! St.Lawrence Market, Frans Restaurant, Old Maple Leaf gardens to name a few and we felt safe. We swam every morning in a clean pool a wee bit shallow but enjoyable! Loved this hotel! Great value for a home away from home!
