Great location right by Union Station/CN Tower/Air Canada Centre/Rogers Centre. Friendly staff, clean as a whistle, convenient location. Driving in was a little difficult to get to due to traffic and construction...be advised that parking is off-site and semi-pricey. Rooms were nice, would stay again.

Thank you kindly for your gracious review. There will be a period of driving frustration for guests visiting our hotel for the next while the streets surrounding the hotel are upgraded but we have seen the plans of the finished product and it will be fabulous. We are working closely with city officials to ensure our hotel will as easily...

Great location, excellent price! Like a lot of Toronto downtown boutique hotels, it doesn't have parking. BUT, the municipal underground parking is right next store. Tip: unload luggages before "park your car in the garage" (the space is tiny, back in only plus STAIRS to come back to street level!) Very clean room, love the hardwood floor (personally afraid of...

Thank you for taking your time to share comments on our hotel. We do have a loading zone in front of the hotel where guests can unload luggage and then our staff are happy to direct to one of the public lots close to the hotel. We are sorry to hear you had to transport your luggage from the parking...

Thank you kindly for your excellent review. We couldn't have asked for better comments than what you wrote and we are happy we met all your expectations. The "I Love Strathcona" rate, which is bookable only on our website, is the lowest rate you will find online for our hotel so it is great that you were able to take...

The weekend was a success, had a blast during Caribana weekend. This was only my second time to Caribana, the last time was about 5 yrs ago. The parade and Caribana festivities were all a short convenient TTC trip ride. This hotel wasn't the best hotel I've ever stayed in but it wasn't the worst either. For you what you...

Dear Guest Of The Hotel, We are glad to hear that you enjoyed Caribanna and found the hotel location and cleanliness to your satisfaction. During this time, as in every year, downtown Toronto hotels are packed with guests celebrating the event. We schedule extra security personnel to keep the noise disturbance in control. This hotel was good. My hubby and i stayed here for a night. We purchased a deal through livingsocial. Check in was smooth but beware if you have purchased a deal through living social bring your voucher. Even though it says no need to bring it you will be asked for it upon check in. Thank you for your kind words. Our location is very convenient for places such as Air Canada Centre and many other attractions in Toronto. And we are happy you will choose our hotel over other hotels that are close by and across the street. We look forward to welcoming you back to Toronto soon!

We stayed for three nights, it was good for what we needed, decent location, cheapish and clean. Just be warned the rooms are quite small. The staff were helpful, everyone in Toronto was in fact. It's nothing special But if your on a budget it's perfect

This was a great hotel in a wonderful walking location. It was clean and convenient to public transportation, and restaurants. The price was good and public parking nearby. Even though the room was small, it was adequate and comfortable.

Hi Billy, Thank you for your comments. Its nice to know that you found the location central and cleanliness to your complete satisfaction. The airconditioners are the PTAC units which are not as quiet as the latest technology available. These are currently on a replacement schedule. The location and price is the best part of the hotel. Room very clean, but it should be clean since its roughly 10'x 7' bedroom with 2 queen beds crammed in it. Very very VERY small rooms, but great price. No parking on premise is also a minus.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
