Clean and functional and customer service good, but I wouldn't say great. Some areas for improvement: 1. Put silencing felt around doors; you can year when people in the hall open or close doors very clearly 2. Get higher end shower heads that allow the otherwise good water pressure to come through 3. Update from tubs with showers to walk-in... More

In town for one night with friends, two rooms. Not able to be close to each other not even on the same floor but I think they were sold out. Got one room around 1:30 which was nice. Rooms tidy and housekeeping staff friendly in the halls walking by. Could hear something during the night- subway? At checkout I asked... More

Stayed here for 5 days as part of a longer holiday. We were upgraded to the exec level and as such, had access to the lounge. Breakfast in the lounge was terrific, nothing like a cappuccino to start the day. Happy hour seemed good as well although we only experienced it once. The room was clean and very spacious. Valet... Just spent 4 nights at the Marriott Bloor and was pleased with my stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and very helpful and the food (I had breakfast there twice and dinner once) was excellent. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable with the incredibly comfortable bed ensuring great sleep every night. The one thing that was a bit disappointing was... More

But it's just a big hotel with all that's expected of a convention style location. Nothing at all wrong, just not special or intended to be special. But, surprise your mouth with their dining room - they have a simple menu with exciting twists on the normal bill of faire. I ate there several times on my 5 day stay... More

Attended a conference in June at this hotel. Location was great for taking out clients, central to several dining options. Rooms were clean and staff was terrific. Conference space was adequate, however layout was tight for our group and decor was slightly dated.

We had a one day business meeting and stayed overnight and also rented a conference room here. The hotel is clean and rooms are comfortable. Good beds and linens, lots of places to charge devices and a decent workspace. One of the more upscale Marriotts I have stayed in lately. Areas for improvement are: 1. Charges for a glass of... Great location!!! Right on Bloor St. Tons of restaurants and shopping around. The beds were very comfortable and I'm a very picky sleeper. Pillows were feather which I'm slightly allergic to and a bit too fluffy, but I'm sure if I called to ask for different pillows they would have accommodated, but I didn't. Free Wi-Fi in room if you... More

No fancy lobby here, but everyone was very helpful and friendly. The room was large enough and comfortable, however, the walk to the elevator can be a long, twisting and turning route because of the building's design. We used room service on our short stay, and did not visit the restaurant. The best features are the subway entrance right next... More

Located basically at the corner of Yonge and Bloor, this hotel is well situated to get to many points of interest in the city of Toronto. The major subway hub is right underneath this location, so you are minutes away from 4 different directions of subway trains. Also, you are located a block away from the trendy Yorkville district. Lots... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
