I stayed two mid-week nights at the Chelsea Hotel for work training sessions. My experience with the hotel was good, but i did notice a some well-worn fixtures inside one elevator, and peeling point on portions of the building exterior. Interior cleanliness and personal service were both very good.

Hotel staff were friendly and very professional, including the cleaning staff. Surprisingly, the customers that stayed there were as well. We stayed in a Kitchenette Room, great appliances to use. Location was great for walking distance to grocery store and even a Pharmacy near by, all walking distances. Taxi service was available 24-7. Which was convenient so we didn't have...

This hotel is in a good downtown location and right on top of lots of shops and restaurants and the CN tower is about a 20 minute walk away. Likewise the railway station is about a 20 minute walk or a 10 minute ride by taxi which cost $10. The room was fine it had a safe...wifi access, toiletries and...

Stayed here for two nights. Located downtown and easy acces to the city. By feet or by cab. Rooms are clean and okay. If you travel with kids, it is a great hotel with all kind of facilities. Parking CAD29 per night. Deluxe breakfast in Market Garden CAD25 per person but very good and lots of choice.

After making mistakes on my bill, as well as the bill of all my staff who were travelling with me, the hotel was extremely rude and unhelpful. The issue still has not been resolved, and now the hotel is not returning our calls or emails.

Hotrl is in need of an upgrade. New lobby, new carpets, new lighting would help. The windows were dirty. The A/C was not responsive. The lighting in the bathroom was dim. More towels would be appreciated

We stayed at the Chelsea hotel for a couple of nights. The service was great, nothing was to much trouble from the point of arrival and for being a typical tourist and asking where to go! Location was really good, good old Tom hortons just outside for your morning breakfast and cuppa and your right in down town, so a...

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
