I was on a trip in Canada last AUgust with my family. We stayed at many hotels in whole Canada and it was simply the best. The view from the pool on the roof is spectacular! And even though it was high season we didn't feel the presence of other guests (maybe it was luck). Only during breakfest we saw... More

We booked this hotel for our anniversary and birthday celebrations. There were conversations prior to arrival, as I had made arrangements for champagne and chocolate strawberries for my husband. (They threw the strawberries in free of charge) I had also mailed a card to be available for him at check in, which was available and made my husband feel extra... More

We stayed for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom suite. The hotel staff were very friendly, breakfast was included (we ate outside which was very pretty- it was hard to believe we were in downtown Toronto with the wonderful environment). The breakfast buffet was very good. The roof top hot tub was great and we were there both nights. Beautiful... More

What I loved: the complimentary HOT breakfast, the service was great, the staff was helpful and personal, the rooms were quiet, the beds were comfy, the staff that came to clean the room was very thorough What I didn't enjoy: the location of the hotel is not exactly in the heart of downtown but not too far of a walk... This hotel was excellent. The staff could not be more accommodating at all levels. The only negative points was the low quality scrambled eggs at breakfast and the extortionate telephone rates for calls made to just outside Toronto. Do not use the hotel phone. The rooms were clean, spacious and just right.

They are not lenient with visitors visiting your hotel room at all. We had friends come over with their left over dinner to our room. Soon after, security was at our door doing a headcount and disturbing those who were sleeping stating only 4 people should be in the room. Kicking our friends out and security waiting outside the door... More

The hotel is great value. Once you're inside it feels much more high end than the price suggests. Staff, rooms and refreshments all feel high quality, and therefore great value for money. But... The only watch out... It may only be a few blocks from everything but those few blocks are sketchy. It's seemingly surrounded by half way houses. We... More

Got a great rate at this excellent hotel in downtown Toronto. Not as worried about location as other reviewers- it's central..(Good) Breakfast and fast wifi included. I often have problems finding quiet rooms in Toronto but this was fine, so I'll be back if they keep the rates reasonable!

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
