Lovely hotel for quick overnight stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I like the amenities and also the setup of the room. Room service very attentive. Good for quick airport stay. Check in was quick also. There were 2 bottles of water in a room that I liked that a lot.

The service and experience at this property has really started to fall off in recent months. Checking in has been a hassle, even for Marriott Titanium Elite guests. The last two times I have stayed at this property I had to contact them more than once to receive the promised receipt by email. Things have just gotten poor. This is a tired hotel. Time to move.

Check in was fine. The hallways are dirty. They badly need vacuuming, at the very least. Our room is tired. Broken furniture. Dirty carpeting; perhaps chocolate chips in the carpet? Cracks in the bathtub. This hotel has fallen far from their luxury days of clean rooms and a welcoming formal large dining room. Prices for room service are exorbitant.

The hotel telephone operator should have seriously been trained to handle calls and inquiries politely and professionally and not to be rude and demented. When I asked for her name, she refused to give me her name and hung up on me the first time. All I know is that she was an elderly woman with a Caribbean accent. The second time, she tried to put me on hold. But instead of putting me on hold, she was singing Christian hymns “Jesus is our savior! Jesus saves us!”. This hotel uses many cluster positions shared with front desk agents including demented old telephone operators. I knew that every hotel has a standard check-in time, and the standard check-in time of this hotel was at 2pm. As I arrived in Toronto the night before and was planning on staying following next day, I just simply wanted to check, by calling the Marriott Airport hotel to ask the Front Office, how early for me to possibly arrive which is normal as sometimes there could be unoccupied rooms available and the hotels can just flexibly let the guest check in right away, so that I could plan my day. I called at 10:01am from my mobile phone and mannerly asked the hotel main-line, and the operator just offensively and impolitely shouted over the phone, in her thick Jamaican accent, “The Hotel check-in time is 2pm!!! We have been full and busy since so long!” without transferring my call to the Front Office or even asking me any further details and check in the system before replying. The voice was clearly insulting, not welcoming and provided no sense of hospitality at all. The call clearly implied that the operator was literally saying that I was so “stupid” and this hotel was not willing to be flexible. I have been coming back to stay at this property several times for many years in the past as I used to like their service a lot. However, from this experience, I am completely disappointed and now have a second thought to come back to stay at this hotel again or to recommend to others. If you don’t want to provide services, then you should not work in service industry, Ms. Louise! I don’t be forced to listen to a demented old bat singing about Jesus! For those who plan to stay here and don’t want to be disappointed by their services, as you might have quite high expectations, avoid calling the hotel main line. There are so many better hotels in that same area!

Very pleasant stay, the hotel is a bit old and rooms can use a bit of renovations. But all in all it was a very relaxed experience with no issues. You have two options for breakfast, a buffet or order from menu. The suite was very spacious and clean. There is an on-site paid parking for hotel guests. The hotel is right next to the airport and with easy access to main city. The gym and the pool were neat and clean. The hotel is highly recommended for short business stays or turnaroundS.

I don't often leave reviews especially if it is a business night stay because really it is just a place for me to sleep. I was impressed when I entered the room as saw the tv remote in its own sealed bag and cleaning wipe with it and I must say the bed was very comfortable. The rooms are dated but I understand that renovations cost a lot of money and if things are kept up, they usually look just fine. My issue really came to light when I took my shoes off and started to walk around in me socks. The floor was so dirty it was sticky, I check the bottom of my socks and found what looked to be cereal and chocolate chips stuck to the bottom on them and after 5 minutes in the room my clean grey socks where more of a brownish colour. I should have gone to the front desk right then and addressed the issue, but the lobby was crazy busy and was tired from travelling. I did address it when I checked out, but I think concern was just brushed off. To the hotel management: As a bonvoy member I do expect a little better service...I am not asking for much, just a clean hotel room...this should be the standard and not the wow factor

Lobby and main floor (meeting rooms): very clean, modern, bright and impressive. Room: our room had two double beds, older in decor but very clean, no funny smell. Basement: big swimming pool in a very large solarium that leads to an outdoor courtyard. Next to the pool is a clean and bright gym room with machines and weights. Shuttle bus to YYZ: this shuttle is free and so punctual. It runs from 4am to 2am. Leaving the hotel at the hour and 30 minute mark. Pick up at YYZ at Terminal 1 at R3 and Terminal 3 at 43 Staff: very friendly Overall: one night we came in late at 1am and there were at least 4 staff working, making it very safe for us to hang out at the lobby. I would definitely return to this beautiful hotel in the future.

The lobby is nicely done and inviting. The M lounge a nice place for relaxed drinks in the evening, though a bit pricey. The rooms are a bit dated... especially the bathrooms (in fact, our bathroom door did not lock), but comfortable. Staff was friendly, but they do seem understaffed. Often a wait at checkin, and at the cafe. Pool area and gym are pretty good.

I travel to Toronto 1-2x / month and routinely stay at a YYZ airport hotel for 1 or 2 nights each trip. For years I stayed at the Hilton because of its nice rooms, executive club, and amenities like a pool, as well as a Sauna in the men's change room. I switched to Marriott a few years ago and have stayed at this hotel many times. While the overall rooms are dated, I do like the renovated Marriott Club on the first floor. However, the primary reason why I stay at this hotel is it is one of a handful of hotels at YYZ Airport that have a Sauna in the men's change room. Most hotels have no sauna, or if they do they are coed and located near the pool. I don't like this as it is often too noisy. Imagine my surprise on a recent trip when I found the Sauna in the men's changeroom to be closed. And when I inquired about why it was closed, I got a vague answer indicating it may never open again. WHY? This is a rare amenity and one that is valued by many people. Needless to say, I am hugely disappointed and will now be staying at the Hilton or Sheraton, both of which continue to have gender-separated Saunas. (which is how you find them in Scandinavia.)

Stayed here for a business trip. It’s completely satisfactory but there are some minor drawbacks. The lobby is lovely and looks all the part of a nice hotel. The rooms and hallways are tired and could use a spruce up. My door didn’t close without a serious push which was loud and I’m sure less than ideal for my neighbours since I arrived very late at night. On the other hand, the TV is large and has streaming services which is a huge plus. I had room service which is often my preference when travelling alone. The food was very good but it arrived in a brown bag and in take away containers with plastic cutlery. Considering the cost of the food I found this aspect to be rather disappointing. I have no hesitation in recommending this as an acceptable hotel. It does feel like a lower end hotel trying to be higher end but missing a few marks.
