Lovely hotel with a great restaurant in a superb location. Food is incredible at the restaurant and all the staff are really friendly. The only things that don't make this a 5 star review is that they don't provide water for your room (even the odd bottle after asking) and the rooms are not sound proof at all!

PROS + The rooms are larger, brighter, and more modern than the nearby Sheraton. + Next door to the Eaton Centre mall for the food court (expensive though) and shopping + Very close to the Ed Mirvish Theatre which we attended to see Harry Potter. The buffet breakfast was okay, nothing spectacular, but they did have good waffles. + Pool (small) and hot tub were small, but we had it all to ourselves. In this way, I imagine it was much better than the Chelsea Hotel which still makes it necessary to book time for kids to visit their pool. CONS - I was shocked to come back after the play to our room to try to get a glass of cold water for myself and the kids and BOTH sink taps kept running hot. There were no water bottles in the room. That was really frustrating because it was around 10:30 PM and we weren't going to go anywhere so we went to bed thirsty after our butterbeer. - The heating wasn't great in the room. It was too hot and wouldn't adjust. - I missed the omelet station at the buffet because it is not part of the buffet line, so I had scrambled eggs when I would've preferred an omelet. That was kind of annoying. Also, the breakfast potatoes were cold. - It's a small hotel and not a very exciting place for kids, although there was a PAR BAR for adults. I think hotels would do well to start offering arcade rooms for hotel visitors' kids and teens. Kids get bored so easily and pools just don't cut it anymore. I noticed Hotel X had a pop-up arcade that looked cool. If your kids don't stay in pools that long, you might want to check that hotel out. - The coffee machine in the room is ghetto. The coffee packet rests on a disposable piece of plastic that hot water drips onto and into your cup. All I could think of when looking at it was cancer from plastic and so I threw it out and didn't drink it. This hotel is way too expensive for a motel coffee machine, Marriott. Your less expensive sister hotel, City Centre, has nice Keurigs. Level up, guys. - The area has a lot of shady characters hanging out right in front of the hotel and around it. VALUE I got a package with breakfast for two adults and two kids under 12, and self-parking included for $440. I still think that's quite expensive, but the stay made sense for us given the location. I think next time I visit Ed Mirvish Theatre we may stay at the Sheraton and pay for the Club Lounge instead. The Sheraton also has a special rate for Mirvish ticket holders which we found only out afterward. We stayed at the Toronto Marriott City Centre on our second night (I've also written a review about it if you're trying to decide between the two). I think that's a better hotel overall in terms of value and features, but it has some major staff issues it needs to solve before I can give it a strong recommendation. TLDR/ Pretty expensive for what you get, although rooms are bright and larger than most older hotels. The location is good for Mirvish and Eaton Centre, although if you think food court meals will be cheaper than restaurants, you will be disappointed. The buffet is just okay with a hidden omelet station. No water bottles in the room and sink taps offer only hot water to drink. - Silver Marriott Elite Member in Montreal

Stayed here for a 3 night business trip in Feb. The hotel is so well located- all the major sites and attractions in walking distance. Hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. The reception staff were very welcoming when I checked in- nothing was too much trouble. I had room service in my first night as it was late and I was jet-lagged. Food was really good and arrived in good time. Staff at the bar were really helpful and friendly. Lots of advice on things to do and see plus great recommendations for local restaurants. Unfortunately a few downsides. The breakfast staff (not the serversthose that were “welcoming guests”). I was completely ignored my first morning as they were in the middle of a chat. One glanced over and still continued to ignore me. It was only when I went to seat myself she came over and was quite rude. She gave me a menu but didn’t explain anything so I wasn’t sure if someone would be over or if I had to go to the bar. After sitting there for around 10 minutes I assumed it was the bar so I went up. Lady at the bar was lovely but said it was table service unless I wanted buffet. I didn’t really so I sat back down. Waited another 5 minutes and still no one so I grabbed buffet as I had to get to work. Second morning a very nice guy was running front of house and service was excellent. Lady on the first morning had a real attitude. Also the pillows are bizarre. Long, thin and impossible to sleep on. I ended up just using a sweater. Overall though it was a good stay and I would stay again.

It's clean, staff is great, location is prime ... The noise from doors opening and closing is insane. I've never stayed in a hotel with it this bad. I sleep with a white noise app and it didn't come close to drowning it out. Otherwise it's great.

I stayed here Feb 6-8 2023 for a business conference. The first room I was offered wasn’t to my liking but the staff quickly changed me to another which was lovely. I was disappointed these was no room service. You can order food but going to the restaurant to pick it up defeats the purpose. If I wanted to get dressed and leave my room I’d go OUT, out, not down to the lobby to get a boxed meal.

This was my 3 stay in the past 12 months. My previous stays were decent. Staff is good and well as the amenities in the hotel. Rooms are very average for a Marriott. Trouble this last stay was with the pillows. We had 3 separate rooms and all of us had a terrible sleep. The pillows are long and narrow. They look like sausages and are extremely uncomfortable. I would like to know which genius decided to go with these.

Could not beat the hotels location, price was fair too. We splurged and got valet parking which is nice for the in/out privilages and convenience. Service was fast. Hotel has a nice bar if you dont want to go far, but there is also a ton of bars and restaurants in reasonable walking distance both in and out of the Eaton Centre which is only steps away. Room was very nice, and comfortable. It did look like a few drinks had been spilled on the sofa fabric, otherwise no complaints.
