Save yourself time and money… go elsewhere. Approximately a month ago we came to the Hilton unaware of renovations. We were woken up at 8 in the morning to the noise of hammering although we were told it would not bother us. Marina rectified the situation and provided a complimentary stay with the highest upgrade available to make up for it after explaining our experience. The certificate provided had incorrect expiry dates, the wrong name… This weekend we attempted to use this upgrade. James, the duty manager was rude from the beginning of emails. He basically refused the complimentary upgrade provided by Marina although we even asked him to go back in their call log (as most higher end businesses record calls) to confirm we were provided this upgrade. We had to email twice to get responses from him, no apology whatsoever for the negligent errors made on the voucher, delayed replies and simply just a terrible attitude. He told us it was our fault we were booking so late meanwhile it was 2 days prior and the website showed an abundance of availability. We ended up booking a room on our own the night before as James could not be reached and simply ignored us after he refused to upgrade anything above one-up of our previous room. He told us no other rooms were available, however we were able to book a higher-end room on our own as he was non-responsive and dismissive to our concerns. When we got there, the receptionist, Sophia was lovely. She told us she would have James reach out to us during our stay and to expect him shortly. He never provided clarification on the upgrade, let alone attempt to reach out once while we were there. Instead, when we said we booked our own room, he stated he would count that towards our complimentary stay (mind you this is 24 hours later of our last email saying we booked on our own and asking for clarification). While appreciative of this, we did not ask for this and wanted to use this stay with the highest upgrade (which we asked what would be but never got a reply too) when possible. I used to run a rental property management company and the rooms are not held to standard. The fridge had what I assume is a previous guests meal in it, hair in the shower, glasses dirty with what seemed like paint overspray, stained carpets, gunk stuck on the table and stained bedsheets. With stubborn dismissive customer service from James, I do not recommend this hotel based on my experience of dealing with him and cleanliness of the rooms. Don’t get me wrong, the reception area is nice and the place overall looks good but the room had far too many cleaning errors, especially for being a recently renovated room. What strikes me most is James attitude and failure to accommodate or just reply to clarifying. I will be attempting to reach out to Marina as this is ridiculous. I was told that renovations would run probably the whole year so save yourself time and book another hotel within the 1km radius.

Great place to stay for a night (or more) in order to explore Toronto. Perfect location (just W of Yonge St and less than a 10 minute walk away from Yonge/Dundas). Immaculately clean room, very quiet and the upper floors boast a great view. Make sure to ride with one of the two scenic elevators! The indoor/outdoor pool comes in handy when it's sizzling hot downtown. Very kind reception staff. Thank you!

I stayed here in February. It was actually my first solo vacation, so I was a little nervous. Hilton Toronto immediately calmed my nerves from the moment I reached the front desk. I am a team member from Chicago, and I must say I was very impressed with how welcoming the staff was and how comfortable my stay was. The rooms were very updated, and the amenities matched. The location is in the heart of downtown, making most attractions walkable, or just a few quick stops on public transit. The staff is unmatched. Always just a quick text away, and ready to assist. I needed a microwave, and staff was able to bring one to my room in a timely fashion. I had an issue with noise from other guests that was resolved quickly. I drink lots of water, and they made sure I had as much bottled water as I needed. I never felt like I was a burden when I needed something, even if it was late at night, because they were always so happy to help. Not to mention before checking in, I requested a room with a view, and they did not disappoint. Shoutouts to Jamin, Rayol, Katrina, Riah, Laurie, and anyone else who helped make my stay a true 5 star experience.

Hilton Toronto is undergoing renovations in the lobby that can be heard all the way to the 19th floor. When I called Front Desk to change rooms I was told (in a very condescending way) that there were no renovations happening on my floor or the floor above and that the renovations in the Lobby is what the noise is coming from. Renovations start 9am and end after 4pm so unless you like sleeping or working during the day with the sound of drill going off- stay somewhere else!

Wonderful accommodations, great location, friendly/attentive staff!! Front desk agent, Maurice, was the epitome of a customer's hope when arriving later in the evening. He made me feel welcome, listened and provided a room which more than suited my expectations. Other front line staff and restaurant attendants were also courteous and helpful. Hope to stay there again on my next visit from the U.S.

Excellent location in the heart of the city, close to a subway stop and within walking distance to many attractions. Our room was clean and well appointed. Our favorite thing in this hotel is the glass elevator, so fun! It’s also located close to many restaurants and coffee shops. Consider becoming a Hilton Honors member and you’ll receive a complimentary continental breakfast, drinks throughout your stay and complimentary upgrades of rooms/suites. The restaurant/bar is convenient, but pricey. Please note that there is a daily parking fee, so just be mindful of additional costs. But hey! You’ll be in a comfortable hotel in an outstanding location and you’ll get glass elevator rides!

The restaurant had just closed, and Alina was so kind: she went back there and brought out some food that was even more extraordinary than usual... such a wonderful omelet and eggs. I brought it up to my mother, and she really thought the hotel was first class, even with the construction keeping her from sleeping in.

Terrible experience in many dimensions. I chose an upgrade to celebrate a special occasion. Room had damage in the ceiling and walls, there was used soap in the shower, towels for only one person, internet was choppy and the heating system was pretty noisy. Staff was very disengaged and just doing their job. There was not a lot of effort to make up for the disappointment. Hotel is really outdated not only from style but mindset perspective too. Some serious upgrade is required. Avoid if you can.

Even though we arrive at midnight and had a bit of delay in finding our booking (not the hotels fault) the staff were extremely helpful in getting us sorted. Room was exactly as expected for such a venue and location to all areas perfect within short walks. Plenty of local restaurants and shops but also the in house dining experience very nice and reasonable value . Very easy to self park in the underground car park. Thanks for a great stay.
