We had a room in the north tower, so the south tower is even better, but we still had an awesome view of the lake and the island. Lots of activity with boats and planes and people. Great hotel location for activities as well.More

Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe
Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.

Hi, I’ve just come back from staying here with my two children for 6 days. We stayed on the 16th floor in the North tower. I saw no refurbishment occurring within the hotel, however never went to the South tower. I actually loved the two adjoining rooms I booked. I have written a review today and added pictures so hopefully once approved on here, you can see the two rooms I had. If this was a part of the rooms not refurbished, then I definitely have no complaints.
Around the area is a lot of building work, however you are about a 20-30min walk to the Eaton shopping centre, Air Canada Centre 5 min walk, CN tower, aquarium and Rogers centre 15min Walk. Also close to union station and about 20min walk to a huge supermarket that has everything you could want! I would definitely stay here again and I’m usually quite hard to please!!!!!
Having said that now, I do remember part of the hotels car park at the front being worked on but again, I heard nothing. The rooms windows are really well sound-proofed!
