We stayed here for 4 nights for my partner's conference that was more downtown. The prices at those hotels was outrageous, so we were willing to take a longer transit time for the cheaper cost of the Holiday Inn. While this hotel is not fancy, it is clean and comfortable with great AC which was needed for the 43C temperatures.... More

We've never stayed here before, but we were coming to Toronto for a concert and the hotels we normally stay at were either booked or the prices were so inflated that we decided to explore other options. The price was definitely inflated here as well, but it was in our budget, unlike the higher end hotels we normally stay at.... More

This is a pleasant, quiet hotel in Toronto on Bloor St West. It is a short walk to the subway and streetcar station on Spadina Ave. Chinatown and Little Italy are nearby. I chose this hotel because it had self-parking unlike many hotels in downtown Toronto with only valet parking.

Very basic hotel. Nothing fancy. Including the "wifi" devices connect only to loose the connection every 30 seconds. They tell you at check in that the basic wifi is free. We think they purposely make the basic wifi unusable so you'll pay for the faster speeds. Save your money and got to the Tim Hortons up the street for great... More

We stayed here for three nights mainly because of its location and because of the price. Check in was quick and efficient and our room was basic, though clean and quiet. The location of this hotel is great. Within walking distance of all the fancy shops on Bloor, and funky Koreatown. We are avid walkers and walked all the way... More

Nice place to stay, very quiet and within walking distance of lots to do. Subway station is very close, making it easy to get anywhere in Toronto. The restaurant in the hotel isn't very good, so take the extra time to walk a few blocks down the street and you will find lots of places.

Stayed at this hotel for its convenient location next to U of T. The lobby was clean and straightforward, and the staff were very helpful and kind. I was given a room on the 14th floor, which I really appreciated since it is generally much quieter and has less foot traffic. I had no issues with the elevators - I... More

I like IHG and usually stay there. We had a show to go to downtown and this was a pretty good option. Room was okay for the location, but the bed my wife and I slept in dipped into the middle and both of us did not have a great sleep. Let front desk know and they said they would... More

This hotel was within walking distance to where I was having eye surgery. For some reason, I had difficulty booking this hotel and was referred to a sales manager. The manager was very understanding as to the nature of my stay and offered an excellent rate. This was unexpected so thank you Ian! We had a quiet room on the... More

Not as nice as Holiday Inn Expresses. But was close to downtown (5-10 minute drive) and was much less expensive than downtown. I booked the same day I stayed, so was happy they had a room. Room was nice and clean. The hotel offers underground parking for $22 / day, It worked well. A decent restaurant / lounge at the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
