I stayed at Cambridge for 2 nights in mid June. I was taking a course directly across the street and 20 Richmond so this location was absolutely perfect for me. Also it was only a 5 -10 minute walk to lots of restaurants. The room I had was a little older but you could tell some things had been updated.... More

Cambridge Suites provides a comfortable, affordable option for families visiting the Toronto Downtown. It is centrally located near Yonge Street on Richmond, with subway access a short walk away. The bar / restaurant offers a respectable variety on the menu, with a satisfying breakfast buffet.

Spent 2 nights seeing the town and thoroughly enjoyed the room. Lots of space. Nice modern feel. Only 12 rooms per floor. Penthouse fitness & hot tub was small and minimally supplied, but what a view! Stopped into Portico restaurant off the lobby and had some amazing corn chowder with shrimp. Front desk staff was young and inexperienced, but nice.... More

My husband and I spent three nights here and were really happy with our accommodations. Our suite had a living room, separate bedroom and a large bathroom. We arrived a little before check-in, but were able to go straight to our room. The location is ideal. We walked almost everywhere, including the Hockey Hall of Fame, Ripley's Aquarium, Rogers Center,... More

Staff exceeded my expectations, especially Andy at front desk. He knew every restaurant nearby, and how to walk to just about everything. Our room was a very clean corner suite with views of downtown. Lots of windows and a separate bedroom from living area. Had refrigerator & microwave.

We found the Cambridge Suites to be comfortable, clean and convenient on a recent family stay. You certainly can't beat the location - a walk to the Eaton Centre, the harbourfront, cinemas, theatres, and restaurants, one block from the Queen streetcar. The one-bedroom suite was a good size, and the pullout sofabed comfortable and easy to operate (not always the... More

Hotel is clean and comfortable, great location in the heart of downtown Toronto, easy to access local attractions. Rooms are spacious and have a lot of natural light, like that the bathroom and bedroom have doors to separate from the rest of the space. Staff is friendly and helpful, food is decent but there are a lot of other options... More

Had a great time downtown staying here. The location is close to many fun things to do. I liked that it was quiet and relaxing. The bathroom is large and is separate from the bedroom/living area. The view from the room was great as well. Really enjoyed my stay here with friends.

Stayed at the Cambridge Hotel and Suites with my adult daughter and niece. Fun girls weekend. Our room was on the 21st floor. Amazing. Room was very nice, staff the best and very welcoming. Spent 2 nights at Hotel, will differently stay here any time we visit Toronto. Close to so much or if needing a cab they were always... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
