Ideally suited in the city for a short stay this hotel provides large suites which are very pleasant. Breakfast was an extra charge for us but they do provide hot food and China crockery makes a nice change! When you arrive the car park isn't obvious! Drive up to the garage door 2nd form the left and when you are... More

Stayed 2 nights for an event at Air Canada centre. Reception was welcoming, we had to sign a waiver to say that we abide by the rules, being quiet, not partying etc. Had no problem signing it, but was wondering how effective they were in dealing with these issues when they arise. We had no problems with noisy neighbours so... More

My family stayed last week while on a vacation to Canada. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to take care of some allergy issues I was having. It was much appreciated. The location was central to many downtown locations. However, the breakfast offering was pretty basic.

Came for the CNE (Canadian National Exposition) and drove our own vehicle but there's much to see and do within walking distance of this hotel. Underground parking for a fee (approx $27/nt) but don't bring a lg vehicle as entry, exit, and parking spots on the smaller side. Plenty of local transit systems nearby (subway, trolley, buses). Hotel was very... More

I stayed at the Cambridge Suites Hotel during a business trip. It is in the downtown core very close to the Financial District and not far from Dundas Square. I stayed in an Executive Suite which is very spacious and comfortable. In general though, I was not impressed by this hotel for a few reasons: when I arrived in my... More

I stayed at Cambridge for 2 nights in mid June. I was taking a course directly across the street and 20 Richmond so this location was absolutely perfect for me. Also it was only a 5 -10 minute walk to lots of restaurants. The room I had was a little older but you could tell some things had been updated.... More

When you first come into the place, it seems nice. However, when you first start asking the crew about a reservation change or something similar, they might take a looooooong time to get it done or to find an answer, they have better and more important things to do. The suite is not worth the price, sheets are old and... More

Cambridge Suites provides a comfortable, affordable option for families visiting the Toronto Downtown. It is centrally located near Yonge Street on Richmond, with subway access a short walk away. The bar / restaurant offers a respectable variety on the menu, with a satisfying breakfast buffet.

Spent 2 nights seeing the town and thoroughly enjoyed the room. Lots of space. Nice modern feel. Only 12 rooms per floor. Penthouse fitness & hot tub was small and minimally supplied, but what a view! Stopped into Portico restaurant off the lobby and had some amazing corn chowder with shrimp. Front desk staff was young and inexperienced, but nice.... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
