I was thrilled with every aspect of my lengthy stay at this property. The location is perfect, the bed was totally comfortable, I never had even one problem with the wi-fi (and I depended on it daily), the staff was consistently helpful and friendly, the room was furnished beautifully (with a window settee!), and the bathroom was spacious and clean.... We wanted to "splurge" on one nights stay in Toronto during our family vacation up North. For the price, we didn't find the hotel to be anything special. We needed to talk to the front desk a couple of times and no one ever picked up the phone. It also took a very long time to get our luggage brought... More

Fabulous hotel located in the heart of Toronto, connected to the Toronto Convention Centre, the CN Tower and other attractions. Amazing staff, great restaurant and modern hotel rooms with great views of Toronto. The restaurant has a wonderful menu and a geat wine list. Transportation anywhere in Toronto is very easy since the hotel is located close to Union Station.

Have stayed at this hotel many years in a row and it is my favourite when coming to trade shows. It's connected to the convention Center so even if the weather is terrible outside you don't get wet. Excellent food in the restaurant downstairs. Spacious rooms and decent gym for that light workout.

Front desk person I checked with was very friendly and super helpful. I'm so sorry I didn't get her name b/c I'd state it here. Room was very clean and neat. Bathroom spotless (big pet peeve if bathroom is dirty). Easy walk to Central Station. Could see the CN Tower out my window. Only minor complaint was I would have... More

We spent five nights here and really enjoyed our stay. The beds were super comfortable and the room was spacious, with a great view over the Rogers stadium, harbour etc. The room offered everything we needed and the hotel staff were very helpful and obliging. The hotel is very centrally located and, despite being in the centre of the city,... More

First of all, you can always expect a certain level of quality and attention from an Intercontinental Hotel - the brand is very circumspect in that regard. The InterContinental Toronto Centre is no exception. It's right in the heart of Toronto, a soaring tower, with spacious rooms and the amenities you'd expect from an InterContinental. Now, this is an older... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
