Had a Feature room, which was newly renovated with every available amenity. Clean, comfortable and bright. The service staff were fantastic and was the service in the restaurant and bar. Delicious food.

From the moment we checked in it was clear that this was going to be a good stay. There was a slight delay with check-in caused by misplaced paperwork by the hotel but this was quickly resolved and free complimentary buffet breakfast was offered. I honestly didn't expect that because I didn't think a 10 minute delay was that big... More

It doesn't look much from outside but inside it is a beautiful hotel! Across the road from Union Train station so we didn't have far to carry our bags. The food in the restaurant is beautiful and the breakfast is great. Staff fabulous from the receptionists recommending restaurants etc to the concierge arranging deliveries, to the servers in the bar... More

I had very friendly staff that I encountered. Great location. Rooms are in great shape and have great views, just be sure to request a high floor. Nice lobby bar/restaurant. If you are going to take a taxi to the airport, use UBER instead. Cost me $34 vs. $65 in a taxi.

We stayed here to attend a conference at the adjoining convention centre. The hotel is is in an excellent location being walking distance to most of Torontos city attractions (CN Tower, Blue Jays, waterfront & ferries to Toronto Island, shopping). I requested a high floor which had a fabulous view over the lake and tower. Room was spacious, beds super... More

I do not stay at Intercontinentals very often as I usually find them unimpressive and dull but this hotel was first rate from the moment I got to the door to the day I left. I was attending a conference there and the atmosphere was nice for a short conference, catering was very good and on time. Half of guestrooms... More

Stayed here for 6 days in July as a couple. This place is really well located. Right next to the CN Tower, Ripleys Aquarium, Union Station. Close walking distance to many other attractions in the downtown area. The hotel is expensive to stay in and the food and drink are very expensive. (Especially room service) We didn't eat at the... Checked in for a four day conference - and Intercontinental was our host hotel. I selected a club level room - and definitely enjoyed some of the perks. Room - comfortable bed. Ample pillows. Desk space was sufficient - I liked the moveable desk that was available to put it bedside and work from that space. Bathroom - the shower... More

We stayed at the Intercontinental Toronto for 3 nights. We took the UP train from the airport and could easily walk to it from Union station even with substantial cases. The reception area is huge and very inviting. As Gold members we were invited to sit at a separate desk for check-in which was very quick and pleasant. Our room... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
