The location is superb. It is right next to the tiff lightbox, centrally located to the restaurants and bars in the downtown area. As a Gold Passport Diamond, I have been upgraded to a deluxe suite both times that I have stayed here. From my room, i had a great view of the CN Tower and the rest of downtown... More

This is a great hotel that is perfectly located in downtown Toronto. It is close to the Rogers Centre, CN Tower, Ripleys Aquarium. So many great restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again. Have recommended to family and friends.

This was our first trip to Toronto, and first to a Hyatt in a city. We chose this hotel based on proximatey to Rogers Centre as we were there for a Blue Jays series. We were incredibly surprised by the beauty of this hotel. Service was incredible, no matter if it were the front desk staff, in the restaurant or... More

The hotel is very convenient for the theatre district. The rooms are a good size and the walk-in shower is very welcome. The rooms need a refresh both in terms of furniture and in terms of bed linens and towels. At least one floor (9) has steps from half of the elevators to the floor.

My husband and I were only at this hotel for one night this time - but have stayed here several times in the past. We love the staff and the location - lots to do near by. We did not partake in any of the hotel amenities cause of the short stay - but they looked nice. Hotel is great!

Very friendly and helpful staff and a great downtown location make this an excellent choice when visiting Toronto. It is close to all the main downtown attractions and easy to reach from the Gardiner Expressway, I would recommend it to business and pleasure travellers alike.

We had yet another excellent stay at the Hyatt located so close to the entertainment district. Very good chef and an excellent dinner. Room had a great view of CN tower. Pillows could have been harder.

Hard to find positives about this Downtown Toronto hotel. Our room was on the smallish side and the parking situation was bizarre - difficult to find the parking structure, which the hotel shares with other businesses, and thete's a huge volume of cars, in the area and in the structure, which makes parking slow and difficult. It's located in an... More

This was by far, on every front, the best hotel experience I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The staff, rooms and entire experience were second to none. It may be slightly more expensive than other hotels, but you truly get what you pay for. Words can't express how incredible our stay was. The staff were fantastic!

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
