We came Dtn for a tiff movie/party. Great location. Only not too many brunch style restaurants on Sunday. Concierge was nice, but didn't have many great suggestions. Also, I didn't use my points up before the due date, and they cancelled my membership. They re-issued a new card though.

Was a 3 day stay. On entry I couldn't believe that this was a 5 or rather a 4 star property. The entrance, the lobby etc quite modest & Spartan. But I did get a fabulous rate. Ts not such a high rise in comparison to the sky scrapers nearby. It's in the downtown & walking distance to cn towers,... More

I am an Intercontinental hotel fan but stayed at the Hyatt for this visit to Toronto as most rooms around the city were booked because of the International Film Festival. I would say that it was a very very very average experience and you can find way better options close by. Here's how my experience went: 1- Location It is... More

Stayed 5 days on business staff was extremely attentive. Complimentary water in room replaced each day. Twice front desk called and asked how my accommodations were. My hair straightener died during my stay and a loner was delivered in under 5min. Fantastic customer service, other hotels can learn from the Hyatt.

Fantastic service, location and room quality. Great views, short walk to best restaurants and sights....and comfortable beds. I did not visit the restaurants, but room service menu was excellent, and my order was perfect.

I love staying at this hotel! First off there's a pool at the top of the building which features a great view of the city of Toronto. Second the gym is located on a high level at the hotel which features a great view of Toronto. The staff is great, and the rooms are comfortable with the usual uncomfortable pillows.... More

Toronto was really bustling with an air show, some type of comic convention and plenty of other exciting things going on. The location is good because we could get to where we wanted to go with Uber or walking and enjoyed restaurants, the beautiful weather, and watching a very vibrant city. Good breakfast in the morning, too.

We requested a room with a view and that's exactly what we got! A view of the city and the CN Tower. Centrally located in downtown area, so all the sights are within walking distance. The staff here are so welcoming and a great start to our first trip to Canada.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
