Outstanding location. Across from CN tower & Ripley's Aquarium. Excellent first trip to Toronto & Canada! ... ..... .... ...... .. ... .... Tripadvisor, pls don't force us to write a long review. Sometimes brevity is the key. :)

Thank you for your review Docscoobie. I am thrilled that you enjoyed the hotel and were able to take in some of the local attractions during your stay. We are perfectly located amongst them. I hope that we made your first trip to Toronto a memorable one. Safe travels, Andrea Copeland

I had high expectations for this hotel, where I stayed for one night on my way through Toronto. The staff met my expectations on all fronts, but I am sorry to say that the facility itself was a disappointment. This hotel is built into the Blue Jays stadium. Some rooms face the playing field, others face the CN rail tracks,...

I had a room by the elevator which made me nervous however it was quiet and I slept very well. The bed was very comfortable. The toiletries are Aveda products-very luxurious. I had the 'Bed and Breakfast' which actually gave me a credit to use in the dining room, lounge or room service.

The Renaissance is at the edge of Toronto's financial district but is attached to the Rogers Centre and right next to the CN Tower, so it is great for both business travellers as well as holiday visitors. Nice rooms with large flat screen TV's, the wifi (for a hotel) is reasonably speedy, the staff (esp. the front desk and in...

I was in Toronto for business, though I sure wish I could have stayed for pleasure. Everyone at this hotel was super friendly and accommodating. The room was amazing with a view of the stadium, and did I mention how wonderful the staff is?! I would absolutely come back to this hotel should be travels, business or pleasure, lead me...

Great location to attractions. Two minute walk to CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium and Rogers Centre. Pool is nice and large, could be warmer. Restaurant is adequate but lots of alternate choices very close by. We were given a room upgrade. Fantastic room, the kids will never forget it! Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy....

We have stayed at this hotel previously - always great! As a result of the ice storm, we had no power from Saturday to Christmas Eve around midnight. During this time we went to the hotel for 2 nights and received exceptional service and great value on short notice.

Thanks you to the staff of Renaissance Toronto Hotel for an unforgettable and eventful stay at your very nice hotel. Everything went pleasantly well from our arrival on a very cold day on Dec 31st. The reception staff was cordial and gave us an upgraded executive suite room that was "quiet"and far from the rest of the hotel rooms with...

I stayed here back in the Spring of 2013, the hotel was located pretty well in the city of Toronto. I'd booked a standard double room, however I was going with the intention of upgrading to the baseball stadium view at check in. After enquiring about upgrading the lady on the desk, offered us a free upgrade to the stadium...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
