I've wanted to stay in this hotel since it opened in 1990. The idea of a stadium inside a ball park blew my young mind! I finally got the chance when there was a concert going on at the Rogers Centre. With the Indy also in town, it meant no worries about how to get to/from the concert. Some parts... More

We stayed here overnight for the GNR concert. Didn't spend too much time in the room. We stayed in one of the suites. It was ok. The tiles in the bathroom were all stained and looked kinda gross. They staff seemed friendly. We got there 3 hours before checkin. We did t really need to check in but we had... More

An exceptionally clean, quiet, comfortable property. Our suite felt like home and the free, hot breakfast was full of diverse options (gluten free) and we still cannot believe it was included with the stay. Other hotels gouge your family for such a buffet and Starbucks coffee. Delicious and we were so happy here. Will return!

After staying in Toronto pretty frequently over the last 5 or so years, this was the first time I got to stay here. I stayed 4 nights for a conference and have to say that it was a very good experience. The hotel is connected to the Rogers Center (where the Blue Jays play). I did not have a room... More

We were travelling in a party of 2 for leisure purposes. We had tickets for a show at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre and as a Veteran we opted for the Renaissance as it was the closest quality hotel to the amphitheatre. Nicely located around small shops in the downtown area, there is a lot to do. All hotel staff were... More

We had seen the bedrooms overlooking the Rogers Center many times, so on a recent trip to Toronto we decided to book one of the stadium view rooms on the day of a Blue Jays game. Check-in was quick and efficient and the room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The room has a large window overlooking the stadium, including... More

This hotel is right where you want to be if you are taking in the sites of Toronto. Convenient to the metro and you are able to walk to many places. Hotel is beautiful. Rooms are spacious which was great for our family of four. We were lucky enough to have a room facing the stadium. Even though there wasn't... More

We always have very good experiences at Marriotts and this trip surpassed our exceptions. We stayed in a regular (huge, 2-story-high ceiling, multi-level, bright, beautiful) room one night, and then moved to a stadium-view room for the Jays game the following night. I had planned the trip as a surprise birthday for my Grandmother's 95th as she is a huge... More

Perfect location downtown. Large rooms, comfortable beds, fast wifi, large bathrooms. All around pleasant experience. Also microwaves and a fridge in the room. On top of that, staff was great from front desk, to bar, to housekeeping to dining. Would stay again.

The location is spot on with loads to do. Minutes to Ripleys, views of the field from your room, quick cab to Molson Amphitheater. (Was a cheap taxi to a show, but tried to gouge over 50$ for a ride back). Zero complaints here and Starbucks in the lobby was a nice little morning bonus when we used up the... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
