This is the most substandard city center hotel our family has stayed in. The only good part is the ability to watch a baseball game from one's room. Otherwise everything from the room quality, cleanliness, restaurant quality, you name it, they are all sub-standard. As a small example: the sofa had several bits of food and wrappings under the cushions.... More

This isn't the cheapest hotel in Toronto but you can't argue with the service, location and quality of the rooms. Some of the rooms overlook the Rogers Centre which is amazing even when there isn't a game on. Just a few minutes for the CN Tower, Aquarium and a whole load of attractions.

This was our 3rd time staying at the Renaissance Marriott for a Blue Jays game. We were coming off a bad experience at a Marriott in Niagara Falls, and the hotel staff was very accommodating and apologetic on behalf of their sister property, making our stay even more special! We have stayed in the bi-level suite twice now, and I... More

Great location to attend a blue jays game, and to attend the theatre area and close to downtown and restaurants. Rooms very comfortable, and quiet. Checking was efficient and staff were friendly. Starbucks was on the premises but had limited selection of product to eat

We had a great experience with this hotel for 3 nights. It was a great location and even connected to the Blue Jay's stadium. We had tickets for a game and was really helpful to be this close as we traveled with 3 young children. The room was clean and had a bathtub. The shampoo bottles and things were Aveda... More

Firstly, I must say the staff were amazing and they tried to accommodate us but the hotel is very dated and old looking. The air conditioning did not work in our first room and they moved us to another room. I complained to front desk and the best they could do is say they were sorry. They sent a maintenance... More

Stayed here with my husband and my little boy, hotel is in a great spot right next to all the tourist attractions. Having said that when in the hotel you do not hear any noise from the street or train station. Really great service was able to get a crib for my little boy. Only bad thing is the baby... More

Loved the location, the staff, and the ambiance of this hotel. We are a family with kids and we honestly couldn't beat the location and amenities that went along with it. We were able to get a tour of the stadium since there wasn't a game while we were staying there. The pool was decent for the kids to swim... More

Staying at the Renaissance in the Dome (Rogers Centre) to watch the Blue Jays game is obviously an incredible experience! I reserved a stadium view room with king bed and the view really was spectacular. The windows opened so we were truly PART of the game which is what we were hoping for. However, for ONE night, this room cost... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
