Great location! Everything accessible by walking or public transportation. Front desk staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was small but clean, quiet and adequate. After a long day the bed was very comfortable! We were a bit apprehensive about parking but the front desk directed us to a municipal lot a short walk away - that worked really... More

Front desk staff very helpful and informative. The hotel is in an ideal location for many of the Toronto attractions and value for money. The room was small but clean, it was overall ideal for our short stay in the City.

A boutique hotel located on Yonge St a short walk from Union Station so handy for the CN Tower and The Rogers Centre. Rooms are small but very comfortable, clean and modern. With a comfortable bed, large flat screen TV and bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The air conditioning was a bit fierce though it was welcome as it... More

This could be a gem of a boutique hotel with its terrific location, small but well-appointed rooms and top notch breakfast/lunch restaurant. Unfortunately, the staff are rude and unhelpful at best. When I asked if I could extend my stay because of an extra day of business meetings, the front desk attendant didn't even look at the computer before telling... More

The location was great for us as it was within walking distance to Rogers Centre, CN Tower and all the goodies of Younge Street. Also a quick walk from Union Station. Check-in was quick and easy. Room is small but comfortable. It was very quiet. No view from window, just brick walls. No fridge :(. Bathroom door is frosted glass... More

Our recent weekend visit to see the Blue Jays win against the Orioles and then enjoy some of Toronto's downtown spots (St. Lawrence Market, local shops, restaurants and bars) was definitely enhanced by being able to kick back in our clean and spacious hotel room. Staff were helpful and courteous. A quick check-in and out was appreciated. Highly recommend.

I was recently in Toronto with my mom and daughter. We spent our day shopping and then went out in the evening. This hotel was perfectly situated for shopping on Yonge St and in the Eaton Centre. The subway is just outside the door. The St. Lawrence market, Sky Dome, Harbour Front and the CN Tower are all just short... More

Room was compact and no view - stuck between tall buildings so hard to determine what the day was like outside. Lowest room rate. There was only bedside lamps, no central light so very dark in the room. Pillows were a bit too big for me. Still the location, cleanliness and friendly staff made it a v. good rating. it... More

Having just arrived in Toronto from the UK, we headed by taxi to Yonge Street and Hotel Victoria. The hotel is modern, clean and in a great position for reaching theatres, station and the waterfront. Tea/coffee and bottled water in the room, bathroom with all you need - the view from our room was of a brick wall but as... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
