The Intercontinental on Bloor is a beautiful hotel. I booked a room at the last minute because of a cancelled flight (booked through Hotwire). I have nothing bad to say about my stay except that the hotel is located almost directly above the Bloor/Yonge subway station. I am a really light sleeper so I could hear/feel the trains coming and...

We held a 2 day conference at the InterCon and everything went smooth. The staff were extremely professional and we didn't run into any problems. From the food, to the rooms, to the AV, to front desk, to the staff...everything was wonderful. Tyler Chapman from MeetingPro arranged all our needs and did a fantastic job. I didn't have to do...

Yorkville, luxury, style, all things I expect when I stay there. The Intercontinental was a bit of a letdown. Maybe it is my love affair with modern, but I feel that it is a bit dated. The staff are so nice! Every single one of them are awesome, you can't ask for better service. As for the rooms, the beds...

I have attended conferences here for many years and nothing disappoints. The food is spectacular and the rooms lovely. The very special part for me is the amazing staff. Many have been there for years. They are always happy and eager to help! It doesn't get much better!

Hadn't stayed at this hotel for some years and it hasn't changed too much since. Upgrades to elevators in progress but no disruption to service. Room was spacious and very clean and the bathroom has a seperate shower and tub. Perfect location for Yorkville and the ROM.

Spent a Saturday night. The staff were very polite and the hotels location is close to everything. Only thing I could say negative was that clock radio did not work and I could not get the clock to light up. Also could not get the Keurig coffee maker in the room to operate. Otherwise clean and nice hotel.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
