It is hard to do a review as we did not make it to the room. Got through the front door to the lobby and my husband was already asking me what kind of dump did You book us in to? It was dirty, smelly and we thought they had a pool but the desk fellow said it had been... More

RUN ... fast and far... SERIOUSLY - I booked this for a family trip because it is part of the Wyndham Rewards family .... We pulled up after travelling through Toronto. It seems like a long trip with all the traffic and the heat but it didn't take us all that long to get there from the airport motel we... More

We booked this hotel last minute and we did not know what was awaiting for us there. The reception and the hallways smelt like everyone was smoking. The smoke of course was in the room as well even though we asked for a non-smoking one. Carpet was very dirty and the room was unwelcoming. Being unable to sleep in this... More

My boyfriend and I had to book a hotel last minute and ended up at the Knight's Inn. Our stay at this hotel only lasted about 15 minutes. We were due to stay for three nights but the hotel and neighbourhood were so filthy we had to bolt out of there. Everything in the room was dirty. There were blood... More

The room smelled like piss as soon as we walked in, we immediately started checking for bed bugs, there was a big cockroach on the wall, the fridge was noisy kept making noise every half hour, the TV wasn't functioning properly, the FREE WIFI didn't work, the pictures on the website of the washroom is very deceiving, they had no... WE had reserved two rooms in order to attend a Christmas party in Pickering. Both of the rooms were so filthy it made you want to sleep in the car. We found empty beer bottles under the bed and we hadn't even had any beer. I don't think the room, carpet, shower and sink had been cleaned in a very... More

Motel was alright. but the SERVICE was amazing, our front desk service agent on September 17th in the afternoon was AMAZING. My reservation had a problem as I booked through third party(huge mistake, i will only book direct now) but he took his time and helped me sort it out and actually went above and beyond and also dealt with... stayed here for 1 night. neighborhood was sketchy but the hotel was wonderful. had several requests that were all accommodated. the hotel was clean, fresh and friendly. check in was a breeze. breakfast was good but only grain items (waffles, muffins and toast), coffee and watered down warm juice. Would stay again and recommend it

From the 401, it's 30 minutes from downtown Toronto. 10 minutes from the Toronto zoo. Excellent deal... Clean, comfortable room with mini fridge, microwave, iron, ironing table and blow dryer. The daily continental breakfast was good. Only problem was that the bath could of been a little cleaner.

Not looking to break the bank, my boyfriend and I sought out an inexpensive room and came across Knights Inn- not a hotel, not a motel. Modest look. Right on Kingston Road, impossible to miss. No trouble with parking. Lobby was cute. If there was an elevator I didn't see it. Stayed on the fourth floor- took the stairs. The... More

Staying in Scarborough

Neighborhood Profile
Scarborough
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
