Very spacious and neat apartment... it is in a great location. Only a couple of minutes away from terrific restaurants, street vendors and bars! Highly recommend it. If you have a car, the parking is $39.50 a day, so make sure you budget this onto your total cost.

I have stayed here on different occasions and despite the lack of modernity, it is a good value! Having a comfortable night's rest was the major priority during my stay as I was undergoing medical testing throughout the day. The location was convenient for me and allowed for quick access to available modes of transportation.

Can't say this was a great hotel.location for us was great but we found it very noisy from all traffic e. Windows very thin so got a bit of a draft. Had problems with tv (couldn't get CNN) called a few times but issue was never resolved. Front staff at desk weren't too helpful and seemed more interested to chat... More

We stayed here for a few extra nights after being at a Hilton. It was beautiful. It is one of Toronto's oldest hotels, but don't let that fool you. The hotel it's self is HUGE, the lounge/reception area looks like something out of the victorian age. The prices of the hotel are surprisingly cheap, and worth it. I got a... More

I stayed in one of the Sutton Place apartments when I first moved to Toronto and was unable to transition immediately into my apartment. I continue to think it's the best deal in the city in terms of amenities for the price. A studio apartment would be more than adequate for 2 people. My only complaints were the slow elevators... I am presently sitting in one of my favourite apartments at my home away from home, The Sutton Place Hotel, Toronto, on one of my many visits to Toronto. I have read with perplexity a few reviews of this hotel criticizing the staff. I have no idea where these complainers are coming from. The individuals on staff at the Sutton... More

We were in Toronto for medical appointments at the Toronto General and wanted a hotel in close vicinity to the hospital, with some ameneties, specifically a kitchen. We settled on the Sutton Place, despite some reviews indicating that it was dated, and otherwise negative in nature. We booked a 1-bedroom apartment through Apartments on Bay. The room itself is quite... More

The hotel lobby was very nice, however the check in staff was rude. When we were checking in, the phone rang and during our whole check in process she was on the phone with someone else. She also did not offer any sort of apology. The room was dated, and not well kept with the paint on the walls cracking... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
