Stayed for a friends birthday weekend, close proximity to attractions & night life. Booked multiple rooms. Front desk service was excellent. Rooms were very modern, comfortable bed very spacious room. Has a quiet policy because of long term residents that share hotel. The "bank" nightclub/party room is a unique experience.

Chose this hotel because we could walk from Union Station and then to the Four Seasons Centre. Front desk was jammed as we arrived but check-in was quick and very friendly. I guess I wasn't paying attention when I booked - this is a hotel with jr suites etc. We had a livingroom, kitchenette, two televisions - more than we...

My spouse and I stayed in an Historic Superior Suite while visiting family nearby on the 8th floor. The Suite was perfect for our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed having the mini-kitchen in our room, especially having use of a fridge and toaster. We discovered that our safe wasn't working, and...

We stayed at 1 King West Suites back in March and loved the view, the comfort and the grand historical feel of this unique hotel. We stayed on the upper level floors and had a view of Lake Ontario and downtown Toronto looking east. Amazing!

A perfectly decent room.. a small suite I guess with closets separating a railroad kitchenette from the bed room. Clean, quiet. Moderately prices in a perfectly decent location. Efficient check-in, good bellman. What one should expect from a hotel: no more, no less.

Reception is courteous and very helpful during check-in and also showing us area of attraction around town. Room is huge and clean. Directly opposite the hotel is a drug store and further walk a few meters away, a good restaurant, Beer Bistro.

The 1 King suites hotel is a great hotel. Located at the financial district and close to Union Station and public transport. The name suites however is a bit misleading. It is a regular room with a small kitchen. Nothing to do with a suite. The hotel has also space for overnight parking (CND 45 per night / 2016). The...

I've stayed here before and was impressed so I chose to spend another weekend. It was a great decision. Clean, quiet, convenient...everything that I had experienced the first time. On the weekend there is nearby inexpensive parking. Its right on the PATH so easy access to just about anything you need for a good weekend. I would have no problem...

We have stayed this hotel on a few of our visits to the city, The staff are very good and are helpful. The room we had this visit was good size, clean and comfortable, although it was some distance from the elevator. Not a serious issue. The hotel is good if you are arriving via taxi or limo, might be...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
