I was in Toronto for business and arrived on a Saturday and checked out on a Tuesday. I had previoulsy stayed at the Hyatt and saw this property from my window so I was familiar with the location. It was a much better stay at a much better price. I mentioned knowing the location. It is excellent - close to...

The Garden Inn is a beautiful, unassuming hotel in a great location. We got a great last-minute rate through Priceline, and magically arrived at the right time to be allocated a large, quiet room--no nightclub noise even on a weekend (Thank you, Maggie!). The rooms are recently renovated and beautifully clean. I don't care for the over-the-top fuss that goes...

I bought tickets to go see the MLS Final and getting a hotel was becoming a problem. I would usually go to the Delta, but the prices were ridiculous. We ended up staying here and the service was great. The front desk staff was really helpful and were able to accomodate us right away (I checked in online using their...

This hotel has excellent service. You are in the heart of Toronto's entertainment district. We were not bothered by any outside noises. It has underground parking with valet or self parking. It's an excellent choice.

Overall the hotel was great, I really enjoyed the hotel and the location is perfect! If you are looking to explore down town Toronto you need to look no further. You are within walking distance of almost every main attraction and there is a Tim Hortons right across the street!

Stay here for business all the time. Close to the theater district and many restaurants. Airport train in walking distance. Rooms are modern and clean. Rooms have coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Restaurant is good for breakfast. Ask for higher level room. Can be lots of street noise.

Great location if your looking for nightlife. My husband and I visited from new York. Valet was a bit steep, $47. Breakfast was around 17 a person. The trains were close by and trips to the distillery district and Chinatown were quick. The bar staff were extremely helpful and nice to talk to. I would stay here again. The room...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
