Summary - as this was our first time staying at a B&B, it took a little getting used to, but was nice. The price was definitely better than the major hotels in a large city. Do I prefer B&Bs now - No - but I can understand why some would prefer them. Our host, Miko, was very friendly and kind.... More

The owners / staff are friendly and accommodating. My room was decent- comfortable bed, just not super clean (clean but dusty and some of the furniture is quite worn looking). The street Seaton is a quiet residential street. However, the main streets that Seaton intersects do not feel as safe. If walking down Dundas from Yonge, you will encounter some... More

An older property in downtown. About 20 mins walk to Dundas Square in town centre. Good transport routes ,buses and trams ,close by. We had the basement apartment which suited us very well. 3 people. Breakfast is great. You go to the well stocked fridge /kitchen and make your own. Get to meet the other guests. Mico the manager was... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We could park our car in the street for a minor fee, which the owners had arranged for us. We had the appartment, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is self service, but you can find everything you need. We enjoyed talking and sharing travel tips with the other guests in the... More

Our family of 3 stayed in the downstairs apartment for about 3 days during our stay. The apartment was definitely big enough for the 3 of us to be comfortable. Since we were in the basement it could get kind of cold at night but we were provided a space heater and lots of blankets and had no complaints about... More

We really liked our stay at the Toronto Garden Inn. We met Miko one morning. He's a great guy. Had plenty to eat for breakfast. We didn't stick around and were out the door relatively early most days. But there's a good assortment of breads, meats. eggs were plentiful in the fridge. Array of juices, etc. The rooms -- I'd... I'll start this review by saying that maybe I should have done my research about b/b in Toronto better. The location was outside our comfort zone, in a somewhat sketchy area. We were quite uncomfortable walking back in the late evening. Our room seemed to be under repair: unfinished floor by bathroom, open heat vent in floor which was a... More

The apartment is huge, especially as there Was just me, Very spacious closet to hang all my clothes up plenty of hangers. The bathroom and shower were clean as was the bedding. This was one of the best stays in Toronto we have had. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. This is a wonderful little B&B and has a great location in downtown Toronto. It is a short tax ride to Union Station and Eaton Centre. There are lots of neat places within walking distance. The rooms are a nice size and well appointed. The room I was in had a large flat screen TV and great WIFI. There is... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
