We've been coming to Stratford every summer for a number of years, and this year decided to try Acrylic Dreams. We're very glad we did. Our hosts Jack and Karen were so friendly and hospitable, the rooms were lovely and comfortable, and the breakfasts were excellent. The location couldn't be better - equidistant from the Festival Theatre and downtown Stratford. We would highly recommend it.
4 years ago my 5 girlfriends and I planned a trip to Stratford and after looking at many accommodations decided on Acrylic Dreams. This is our 4th year returning because we live it. Karen and Jack are wonderful hosts and welcome us back as if we’re family. The breakfasts are delicious as our the conversations had while devouring them. I would strongly suggest staying at their lively B&B. Also close to theatres and shopping.
We've stayed two years in a row now with Jack and Karen, our friendly and attentive hosts. The location is incredibly convenient, with a pleasant walk to your theater of choice in either direction. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable, enough space for our needs, and the entire house is decorated with a variety of artwork and curios. The delicious breakfasts never disappoint!
My friends and I enjoy an annual theatre outing in Stratford but finding a bed and breakfast that can accommodate our need for four rooms over three nights can be difficult. That is why we were so delighted with our stay at A B&B on Bay, Acrylic Dreams. All four rooms contain very comfortable queen sized beds, with one room containing a queen sized bed and a 3/4 bed; all rooms are ensuite and the two smaller rooms are located on the main floor which makes it easier for people who have trouble with stairs. The rooms are nicely decorated and include acrylic art work by Jack. Breakfasts were good and accommodating for the two of us who are diabetic, and filling and tasty for the rest of us. We all appreciated the fact that the normal breakfast hour is at 9 which allows people who attend evening shows to still get a full nights rest although Jack and Karen are accommodating for guests who need an earlier breakfast. The bed and breakfast is within walking distance of all three theaters and the downtown with its shops and restaurants. Having been in Stratford for thirty-two years Karen and Jack are founts of information about the Stratford Festival, the plays and the actors. In additional Karen is a certified practitioner of chair massage and reflexology treatment. Whilst I was unable to convince my friends to have a massage, more's the pity, I can say that my massage was just what I needed after three days of driving in the car. We are all looking forward to returning next year.…
Cozy, eclectic, art-filled heritage home filled with light. Rooms have comfortable beds with ensuite washrooms. Gardens are lovely, and the street is in a quiet residential area The home made strawberry rhubarb compote served with yoghurt at breakfast was divine! Jaques and Karen are lovers of art, theater, and ballet, so we had some lovely conversations. I spent an enjoyable quiet evening exploring their bookshelves with books on many subjects. The B&B is close to the downtown shopping area and the Festival theater.
