We stayed at the Albert St. Inn for three nights, in the room with the king-sized bed on the second floor. Our initial thoughts were coloured by an awful first impression and first night, but has been tempered somewhat. In general, though, the location and price are the only real advantages here. The room was small and sparse, the bathroom... More

First off, the location was perfect and the staff friendly and informative. The lobby was lovely but the only place you could pick up their free wifi with any reasonable consistency. That I could live with. I was there to enjoy the shows not play on my smart phone. The low rating is due to the state of the room.... More

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We stayed two years ago, and I think they have made some upgrades such as flooring, windows, and air conditioning units. I do like this place because it reminds me of hotels I've stayed in in England. It is simple, but it's in a great location, a street just... More

I stayed here several years ago never intending to return, but tried it again this year due to it being under new managements and having undergone a "remodeling". Pros: The staff was friendly, the location is ideal for theatergoers, and the price was reasonable. Remodeling meant installation of an elevator, new paint and installation of cheap laminate flooring in the... More

I am giving it a 4 because of: 1) the location. The Inn is located in downtown where I can find restaurants, lots of interesting stores and things to browse, close to the lake and theaters. 2) the staff is friendly. 3) the room is small with 2 beds, but clean, with new linens, curtain,TV and beds. There is coffee... More

We booked two nights here, having combed through the reviews, knowing the 15/17 rating for accommodations in Stratford and recognizing the stark contrast in reviews pre- and post-January 2015 renovations. We are glad to have made the sensible leap to stay here for our first visit to Stratford! - Location: VERY centrally located. Right in the heart of downtown Stratford,... More

This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. My friends and I stayed in the suite while visiting Stratford for a show. The furnishings were a mix matched collection of junk you couldn't sell at a yard sale. One of the armchairs was actually torn. We checked the beds for bugs before going to sleep because the... Horrible, horrible, horrible. If I could possibly give no stars, I would. I think it is incredulous that the proprietor feels it is appropriate to charge $185 (plus $9 parking) for a dilapidated, DIRTY room that they had the audacity to call a 'suite'. The cushioned chair had knife tears in the arm with foam coming out of it and... More

I found this hotel through the Stratford Shakespeare Festival sight and was surprised by the price and location. I am a seasoned traveler and I do like to read trip advisor reviews. For some reason the reviews they have just don't match this hotel. I believe this hotel should get a much better rating. I love boutique hotels and I... More

We stayed in this inn about 10 years ago before the renovations. The first year it was terrible, the second year, when the renovations had begun, it was a little better. We took a break for years until this year. The inn has improved greatly. A new elevator, freshly painted walls, new carpeting. The room itself was a huge improvement... More
